I'm from Melbourne, Victoria, Australia; I'm an experienced ESL teacher with a BA and CERT 4 TESOL and worked in South Korea for a year. I am enrolled in a part time University course in a Master of Arts TESOL. I want to work in China as a ESL teacher 18-25 hours a week and do my course in my own time. I love culture, people, exotic places and like to learn about it all. I'm passionate about ESL teaching and want to develop my skills to a higher level. I already speak 4 languages fluently and I was trying to get a grasp on Korean, while I was over there; I found that Koreans were more interested in gaining English from me and so I found that opportunities were quiet few. However, it didn't stop me from learning how to read and write their script in printed fonts. Their freehand writing was a bit too artistic for me to decifer. Prior to Korea I have lived in several countries of Europe for 12 years, working as a visual artist. Hence my language skills and my interest teaching the subject.I'm thinking of acquiring some Mandarin while I'm in China.
