We have been considering Equador for retirement. Especially interested in Cuenca, Loja, and Vilacomba. My mother, who is 87, will be coming with us on our trip. Any suggestions on a hotel close to the old part of town? Thought we could make Cuenca our center and visit from there. Also, would it be better to fly into Quito or Cuenca? What Airline would you suggest? Any help would be appreciated.
