Introduction

2 week expeditionary trip with my wife, Eileen, May 12-26. Just to check out the country, get a feel. In & out of Quito, thinking of Cuenca and Manta, plan to skip Guayaquil. What should we miss/see (not the stuff in the tourist guides, please).

I joined expat.com on 08 March 2010.

I can speak Southern US, spanish (sort of- margarita required).
Interests hiking, travel, gardening, watercolor, beach, peop watching
