Name: Dr Shukla Bhattacharya- I have a rich and varied work experience of over seven years now. An Indian national, my last posting was as Asst Professor at Department of English, Jizan University, recruited under foreign employment category by the Government and Ministry of Higher Education, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia; and as Senior Lecturer, English, Barclyne College International, Singapore. Prior to this, I worked as Asst Professor& HOD, Department of Applied Sciences & Humanities at HIT, a renowned college of Technology & Management in India; as Associate Professor at the Department of Foreign Languages, Al Jabal Al Gharbi University, Libya. Apart from that, I have taught students belonging to multiple background and varied age-groups at British School of Language where the courses were open to undergraduates, graduates, and post-graduates who qualified categorically for foundation, higher and advanced level. Working with America Online, Wipro, has also been widely enriching and dynamic with computer-assisted / online instruction and effective communication-skills. The three international experiences along with different field of work at national level, directly demonstrate my curiosity, sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic background of students. As for other points of consideration, I am IERF (International Education Research Foundation, California, US) certified. I have publications, am copy-right holder ; and EPEC (Singapore) holder. I have also qualified the State Level Eligibility Test (SLET) for lectureship conducted by the Government of India. My Research Topic (PhD) was The Plays Of Edward Albee: A Study In Neurotic Anxiety.
