I'm from Belgium, lived 8 yrs in the Netherlands, 13 yrs in Thailand (4 years working in the Cambodian refugee camps and 9 years for the ODP, US Embassy Bangkok), 12 yrs in Geneva (UN IOM), moved back to Thailand in 2004. Speak Flemish, English, French, German and Thai. I have 2 grown-up children living and working in Phuket. Moved back to Thailand with wife and kids upon taking early retirement.
Worked for the International Organization for Migration (IOM).
Worked as a volunteer in the Cambodian refugee camps along the Thai/Cambodian border. Later worked for the US Embassy Orderly Departure Program with frequent travels to Vietnam.
Rotterdam/Ridderkerk gypsy camp: Social Worker. Enschede social welfare: Social Worker.
Born and raised in Belgium (Flemish part).
