Everything, but the poverty was heart breaking
Poor medical care, poor hygiene among the poor, trash in the streets.
Lived near the Mekki Masjid. Took care of my kids, wrote, cooked.
Karachi is lovely, yet very very different from the US or Arab culture
Pollution, difficulty to speak the language.
Mother, wife, teacher, writer, photographer, consultant
Culturally, it's a good fit.
Restrictions towards women that are cultural rather than Islamically supported by the Sharia.
