I'm from the south-eastern part of Norway, and originally a pre school teacher with a certification for teaching English to all ages. After a couple of years traveling Central America, and then a couple of years back "home", Norway didn't feel much like home anymore. I then decided to try Spain for a while, so I've been living one year on the peninsula and now half a year on gran canaria :) wonderful climate and I love it here.
I joined expat.com on 03 October 2013.
I live a healthy life, practicing yoga and eating healthy. Since I am brand new to this town, it would be fantastic to make some new friends to explore the area with. I love light hiking, making and eating food, go to the cinema, being social..etc
I like the calmness, the people, the food (not the bread-culture, but luckily there is so much more!), the culture with the flamenco dance and music, the sun....
I think I will enjoy the climate here when the humidity and wind seizes a bit. Although it has been mostly sunny days in january and february, it has been very windy, and lately very humid.
I took my English teaching certification (CELTA) at International House
I absolutely loved the weather, although it was way to humid for me and my chronic sinusitis there. BUT I loved the landscape, the sea and the cenotes, the people, the food - everything!
The drugs and crime, the so obvious mafia people running every bar and night club all over yucatan, That is a real shame and very sad. But as a regular tourist you dont see this. Only if you stay there for a while.
I was born and raised here.
