I am American and living in the Dominican Republic. I have traveled a great deal in my life. Now I just want to find a quiet place here in the Dominican Republic. That might take a while, and lots of exploring all around the country. I am not interested in the night life and action wherever it is. I do enjoy latin music, but I dont like it so loud. That is very popular here in the capital city. I cant escape the NOISE of traffic, and the noise of the music is deafening. I am a teacher, and considering opportunities to teach and work in the campo which is the countryside and small pueblos. Dominican teachers dont even want to work in the campo. They prefer the services, disorder and NOISE of the city. Now I am looking for well written articles describing campo locations and pueblos. My opportunity may ultimately allow me to move to different pueblos and teach in each place one year or two years at a time. Where do I start and where can I have the greates impact on the life of the people ?
