I'm a daughter, mother and wife. I'm also a teacher and lawyer (but don't hold that against me please). I am very into theater, both performing, watching and teaching/directing it. My husband is a physician and he has a good job offer in Riyadh which we are seriously considering. Our youngest child would accompany us and she'll turn 13 this summer. I am open minded and very interested in hearing if anyone with a daughter has had good or bad experiences. It's one thing for her to learn about a new culture, it's another thing to be harrassed. I want to know about what other parents feel for their daughters and also how hard it would be for me to find a job, in teaching or law. Here's the real issue for me. Some of the news coverage here makes KSA sound exotic, but A LOT of the coverage is negative. It's hard to know if what I'm reading is really a lot of isolated incidents that don't apply to westerners, or if I'm being naiive. That's why I thank you all for posting here!
