2015 UPDATE: I changed careers from Events Management to Real Estate. It's quite a 'fast-paced' industry and I get to meet a lot of different types of people! A lot of hard work though. I gained a lot of real estate knowledge which I can now share with new expats coming to the UAE. I focus on Dubai real estate. So if you need real estate advice or to find a place to live let me know. What I have learned is that this industry is like a Dog Eat Dog world. I am trying to change the nature of the real estate game in Dubai and try to be a positive influence on my fellow colleagues. Anyways, it's just another thing to help people out with! Especially since a lot of people need to find a place to stay and don't generally know how to do so in this strange desert land. Other things going on.... I have taken an interest in learning Deutsche, German Language and I'm getting there oh so slowly. ___________ I'm Jadie, Well, that's my nickname. I'm practically Asian but I'm born and bred in Dubai. Some people refer to me as an Asian cocktail but not quite because I never learned any other language but English nor my cultural background and never stepped foot in my parent's country until I was 22 and my mom wanted to retire and chill with her sisters. The only few places where "local" means having a nationality, not residency. I could have been local by now coz my parents have been here for over 30 years and my older brother and I were raised here ( if you know the UAE laws you'll understand) but I'm practically not. Only local in a sense like I know this place inside and out. I love extreme sports! Skate, skim, love rock music, gaming, pool and whiskey. I'm kind of a tree hugger, insanely chill but incredibly outgoing and just all-around nice and freakin fun. I love meeting new people who 'get it' and please no creepy dudes! *sigh* I love fun and practical down-to-earth people like myself. Luckily, I found amazing people around while growing up. I can get along with anyone and everyone. People tend to be the same and feel comfortable around me. I love hosting gatherings and I can make an awesome 6+course dinner where I invite friends for a drink and dinner by the garden. In my line of work, I tend to meet new faces around here. I'm in events! Plus I love new people! more fun! Anyways, I would like to meet more people! hear their stories and know more about the countries they've lived in and stuff like that.
