Hi Christine,

Does not look like you have had any replies so will answer as best as I can....

Is it hard to find a flat or a house for rent in Perth? How to find a home in Perth: classifieds, real estate portals, real estate agencies?
There are many many real estate agents around in all suburbs and they all have a rental list, so depending on the area where you would like to live, they are the best starting points.  Yes there are lots of web sites and the papers etc as well, so all worth a look.
How much is the rental for a house, an apartment? One of the main deciders for rental is location, near the beach and the status of the suburbs.  Where I live in Joondalup, north of Perth, a one bedroom studio unfurnished would be in the $260-$280 range plus amenities, and an unfurnished house with say 4 bedrooms and two bathrooms would be anywhere from $400-$650 a week !
What are the formalities or the required documents for renting an accommodation? All real estate agents look at a continual line of employment as being a stability requirement.  They look at income and past references of ownership or rental.

Best advice would be before coming here to find employment if at all possible and then work from there.  Without employment your chances of renting is very slim unless you can demonstrate money in the bank or an income from somewhere.

Hope the above helps - Alan
