Hi, anyone can advise me on how is the process of changing jobs and transfer EP from current emplyer to new employer?

After someone got the offer letter from the new employer, whats next?

I know its gonna be a lot of paperwork to deal with such as Tax Clearance from the current employer, Release Letter and the EP cancellation?

how is the flow and sequence of these activities/documents works?

thank you

Depends on your EP category as well. For some you have to go back and for category one you can keep staying while transferring employer.

Also depends on the sector. If doing through mdec usually the new employer will send an application submission for EP on your behalf. And then you'll show that to your current employer. Based on that they will process pass cancellation.

If you have category one then current employer can apply for special pass for you. Which can be maximum 1 month. Make sure you communicate this with your current employer and also keep in sync with the new employer based on this.

The reason for the special pass is for you to be able to stay in Malaysia if applicable so that you can transfer employment smoothly
