I am new to Bordeaux and looking to make friends. I am originally from India but have lived in England (5 yrs), S'pore (1 yr), and Canada (3 yrs) and will be in Bordeaux for a year. I am very fluent in English. Looking forward to catch up with people who can speak English and to hang out!

Excuse me for presuming you're interested in cricket but as India has a very good cricket team I hope you won't be offended!
So... why not try Bordeaux's very own cricket team.
Unfortunately, I believe their season will just becoming to an end. I believe their season runs from April until July/August. Still, it may provide you with some leads.
