@goodolboy

I use and agent, ***.

He scammed me for 23 mill dongs and did not get me a visa.

When I arrived in March 2020, I got 3 months eVisa. No problems.

Last time I applied, I paid 60 USD and got NO visa. And they never returned my money after 8 months.

Now, only 1 month. Unacceptable.

Why does Immigration do this?

My Vietnamese embassy in my country threatened me with my police if I did not stop ask questions.

Immigration is just interested in lining their own pockets.

That's the reason why the tourist industry is doing so badly.

In Thailand, you over 50, one year visa for 30 USD.

Not Vietnam.

remember that starting 29th April its the big holiday here (Hung Kings Day, Reunification Day & Labour Day)  so Gov offices will be closed I think. Just booked seat & e visas for 28th Moc Bai run (6th e visa one day early cos of holidays) with my long standing & trusted Visa Agent. Leaving Vietnam 17th on last day of current e visa, going to Chaing Mai, back on 20th on 15 days visa exempt (I hope)

forgot to mention the visa run on 28th (pre holiday) organised by my long standing & trusted Visa Agent has been reduced from 150usd to 110usd & thats for e visa Vietnam + e visa Cambodia + breakfast + vip mini bus + agent rep to make sure everything taken care of at the border. I dont usually promote things like this but I have to say last month Moc Bai trip & visa renewal service was absolutely excellent. Left D2 office at about 07.30 hrs & back in D2 about 13.30 hrs & that included diversions for drop off's on the way back.

Well that was a first for me at TSN this morning heading to Chaing Mai, the imigration guy demanded to see the paper copy of my e visa. Lucky I always try to cover my ass from all angles & had it with me. Oh & the fast track automatic PP scanners are installed 4 gates with them but still wrapped up tight  in cling film!

I witnessed once at Moc Bai that  fellow visa runner showed evisa on smartphone and border guard accepted it.

I belive  visa over 50 in Thailand  is only for selected countries.

You can witness a lot of things happening in Vietnam that are not according to regulations.

it's definitely true that some people have been able to do a visa border run with only their smartphone image of a visa to show.

However, I 100% always recommend that people have a copy of both their previous Visa that is expiring and the new one they will be using for reentering the country.

I know of no country restrictions on acquiring a Thai "O-A" retirement visa for people over 50 years of age.

However, for the Thai "O-X" 10 year retirement visa only citizens of Australia, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, United Kingdom, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland and the United States qualify.

Sorry to bother you, what is the difference between O-A and O-X? O-A has to be renewed every year?
