Post new topic

Is this going to be enough to satisfy the IO's?

31 year old female traveling alone to the UK for 30 days for Leisure. It is their second visit, last went there is December 2022 for a week.

Holds valid Passport and visit visa for UK

Has permission from boss to work remotely for her Philippine employer whilst traveling the UK

Will bring with her a basic itinerary

A certificate of employment

Return ticket and accommodation (air bnbs) has been paid for by own funds

ITR

Bank certificate/statement

Company I.D.

Can anyone think of any reason for an offload, or any additional documents required?

Thank you.

danfinn

@tp1994 Since this all depends upon the subjective judgement of an IO, there is no way you can guarantee a positive outcome. It will always be 50%. What I do suggest is purchasing trip cancellation insurance to cover the costs of an offload.

@danfinn Thank you.

50% based on what?  This would mean that a very large minority of people (at least) are not let through at the immigration counter.

Surely there is some legal framework?

To me, they have all the required documents, and have more than enough money in their bank account to pay for everything during their stay.

I just mean a high probability of getting offloaded based on the subjective nature of the process and also personal knowledge of people it happened to. It really is a problem. There is no possible way to guarantee success just by following a checklist. It depends upon other things such as if the person appears to be truthful during the interview, if the person brought enough documents to convince them that she can support herself during the trip and to absolutely convince the interviewer, somehow, that she is not being paid off and trafficked by criminals for sex work or other purposes. But I did not give you the suggestions you asked for because I have none. But I think getting trip cancellation insurance is a good idea even though you were not asking for that type of advice

@danfinn I will make sure cancellation insurance is purchased! I would say it is unlikely they will be denied boarding as they are going to the UK and have recent travel history there and returned on time.

As a UK resident I am happy to supply my address here if she needs proof of accommodation. She is more than welcome to visit me here in the beautiful Roman city of Bath. I have a spare bedroom - no charge 1f606.svg

My neighbour is a Filipina so she can write a note in Tagalog if necessary to support the visit. Just PM me

I agree. Based on everything you mentioned, especially that they left previously, I see no issues. From what I have seen, specifically with my own GF, the concern is mostly on the first trip outside the country. Once the passport begins to accumulate stamps you become another regular traveler.
