Hi everyone. We are a Dutch-Colombian family, planning to move to Mauritius this summer with our three kids ages 7, 5 and 3 years-old. My kids are curently attending a school with focuses on art, music, literature and nature. What schools in Mauritius do you recommend that have a similar focus? Are the schools overthere very traditional?

Looking forward to hear other mamas and papas.

Best,

Andrea

My daughter is in Lighthouse Primary and Secondary School.  She is extremely happy there.  They do music, art and nature between there curriculum. They also offer a variety of sports and other activities. It is a Christian based school. Shout (Private message) if you need any other information.  I'll be happy to chat...

Hi Andrea,

Most private schools in Mauritius have subjects like art, music, literature and nature though mostly these would be optional and at a supplement.

I would highly recommend to you Step Ahead school situated around the center of the island. The setp-up is breathtaking, towards the foot of a mountain and with a somewhat wild natural environment.

It is a unique setup in Mauritius I would think, so peaceful and calm.

The academic level is proven, and the extra curricular activities are worth it.

Have a look.

Cheers

Hi do you have a company helping you?

My kids are in west coast international

Andrea Herrera-Scheepers

Hi. Sorry for my late reply. My husband visited West Coast last year but the secretary, who gave him a quick tour and talk, said there were not places available. We registered our kids at Lighthouse Primary School and going fantasticly!

Hope everything is going well with your family as well!
