I have tried all the numbers I found on the recpt and they all come back as invalid number. This might be because the ARC was last year and just expired.
Digital nomad requires each person. To have a minimum of €3500 per month income .. and it can only be renewed twice plus they are only issuing 500 of these per year. .. further the pink slip. And cat f routes both bar working hence some have had to go self employed.. and even then they have to.prove self employed history
Best bet is to get a professional involved
I think @phildraper can give you better real time experience information
@phildraper it's the number on the slip you have with the re-entry stamp on. It's just the part in the following format... 123456/2022
So you'll send STATUS 123456/2022 to 1199

Obviously as we say on the forum things change and what works one day might differ the next!
I arrived in Dec 2022 and work remotely for a UK company. I applied for a Temp Residence Visa and obtained that in March 2023. I am just going thru the renewal and hope to have it completed this week.
I recommend you engage someone here to help as it is a time consuming task for ex european brits. There is a fair amount of paperwork that was required for me and it would have been beneficial if I had known what was required before I left the UK. Things like police record checks, apostle documents etc. Check with whoever you engage and get them to give you the current list of docs to be obtained before jumping on the flight. It can be done once you are here but takes longer and adds to the cost. I cannot tell you what you need as it has probably changed since I went thru it. I think the companies here dealing with immigration book appointment all the time without a client needing it so they get you in faster when you are ready to go. If you have specific questions pls start a new thread and ask away lol
@Toon I know of one person who was rejected on the grounds of income, they did not get told why they had to engage a solicitor who found out the reason for the rejection. I have no idea if they appealed or what happened next.
@anostone I did send this but still the same reply. I think it is because it is last year and expired.
@Toon morn just reading your comments very interesting reading may I ask my myself and wife retiring this July and are hoping to relocate to cyprus and applying for pink slip we've read so many different conflicting comments about pink slip we very confused trying to do our homework as much as poss what docs do you need to take with you to imagination for first application many thanks
I think there is a link to a webpage re TCN non EU applicants and it indicates what documentation etc that you are required to provide.

Appointment
I guess that is possible .......Change your lawyer..... Or better still ditch the lawyer completely
@nincystepanovic
If you are German you wont be applying for pink slip you will be applying for the meu1 yellow slip as an EU national much easier and something you really dont need a lawyer to do.....
However I guess that is possible .......Change your lawyer..... Or better still ditch the lawyer completely
If you have all your paperwork to cover the criteria required for meu1 yellow slip then you shou
ld be ok.
You can always contact immigration and check ... Make sure the appointment is still valid
How was the appointment made ..am assuming you yourself made it using your own email address or did the lawyer make it... If the lawyer made it using his then the cancellation is possible... if you did it maybe he cannot do it.
@grahamehomer Hi Graham, I came here in 2016 when things were totally different and it took me all of 30 mins to get everything done (yellow slip). at that time, was the house docs/deeds, a Elect. bill, a phone bill and 3 months Bank statements, must say I only had UK statements (which by the way is still the same). at that time the local Mayor was an aquantence ( now good friend) and it was phone call he made and all doors were open. I seriously do not know the mryiad of docs required now. We Brits are no longer in the EU and thus judged as TCN's. it is not cheap and suggest you get a Lawyer. By the way which part of the island are you moveing to. I am in the Eastern end and if coming here can try and help.
Hi,i have a visa interview scheduled for pink slip.. If i cancel that because i decided to go back to my country and 90 days already expired ,i mean i overstayed .What will happen at the passport control ? will they ban me or in system will show that i had appointment by i canceled?
I doubt the border control system has any record of your pink slip visa application or appointment....
I don't know for sure what will happen when you leave but I guess if your passport has been scanned on entry so when you leave and passport is scanned again it will flag that you have overstayed...you will then be asked, Why ..produce your appointment email and explain ...you might get lucky and get away with a fine or better still a stern warning ...at worst it could be a 3yr ban
We went out and back after the 90 days in 2023 and showed the immigration appointment email each time. No issues at all. The only time we were questioned was when we used the yellow slip and we didn't have the biometric card. The boarder guy looked up on the computer and said "ah not issued yet lol" this wasll thru Paphos airport
@phildraper
My thinking there is that they may see an application post interview with details as that includes all details including passport awaiting issue of permit but not if you havent made it yet... That's the bit I think may not be on the system.. as when you apply for the appointments by email. it's only a name... Or email address
The OP might like to consider not cancelling and claim he has to go back for an emergency but wil be returning for the appointment.
But as we often say things cZn and Di change not necessarily by legislation or law but by whoever you get at border control and there understanding and even whether they have had a bad day or a good day.
@phildraper Dont use the Pilgrim's airport. Larnaca no problems with yellow slip. Used it so far for 7 years.
@Toon

I think you will have exceeded the allowed 90 days continuous absence rule by September and thus it is likely to have been cancelled so you will have to apply again.... Assuming I have understood your post correctly
@Toon I mean i was in cyprus January Feb March i left for 3 weeks then came back, then april and may was in cyprus and left in may for 6 days. then on 17 June i left till 31 august. so its more than 90 days but they are not consecutive
In that case you should be ok ..i also assume that you had no issues entering and exiting
Hi All,
Glad to see I'm not the only confused UK resident on this forum.
Could you help please? I'm thinking of buying a re-sale Villa in Aphrodite Hills. I'm confused about the Visa requirements and the eligibility to access the GESY health system. So, please bear with me:
- If I buy the Villa, should I get a Cat F permanent residents visa or a Pink Slip?
- Which is best and why?
- What makes someone eligible or not for GESY and is it linked to the above Visa options?
- Is health insurance meant to supplement GESY or replace it? Some Lawyer website suggest £175 per year is an average cost?
- If I'm not eligible, how much (on average) is health-care insurance and who is a good provider?
Thanks,
Martin
You don't need a visa to buy a property although you would if it is your intention to stay longer than 90 days . Bear in mind the rolling 90 days in 180 days rules for the rest of the year ..
Pink slip if you don't need to work
Very few if any cat F visa have been issued since 2018...and in the meantime to stay legit pink slip is required I believe.
Residency is essential for GESY as is paying contributions via work or having a valid form S1 entitlement if retired and in receipt of state pension, even if married and just one of you has the S1 both would get GESY
Health Insurance is required any way until you get your residency even with an S1... And it's accepted in GESY
Cheap but limited insurance cover that satisfies immigration is available from just over €100 per yr each ..shop around...
Thanks Toon. Any companies you could recommend for the insurance. I have looked but they seem to cost thousands rather than hundreds...I must be looking in the wrong place?
@excellentia69 It sounds like you've been looking at "full" medical insurance, rather than "immigration" insurance.
Try Status or Abbeygate - they both do both!
The residency thing and GESY is [link under review] this mean pink-slip residency or permanent residency? or maybe [link under review] knows! lol
This might be sinking in now. The plan is as below
I'm 55, so not covered by a S1 form
I will be be using a pink slip visa
I'll have dividend income from the UK which will presumably fund GESY at 2.65% and thus make me eligible
I'll need the Immigration Insurance as a temporary measure before I can apply for the pink slip?
Does this sound right?
Thanks for the help. The drinks are on me when I get out there if the above is somehow correct
No you would not be eligible for GESY even if you are paying the 2.65% GESY tax.via online tax returns .. And paying private healthcare....totally unfair in my opinion but thats the rules. There are no immediate plans to allow for voluntary contributions.
You must prove your regular monthly income from abroad.into a Cyprus bank account, You must also deposit a substantial.sum into that same bank account.. the sum appears to vary depending on the day of.the week, whoever.takes your application or processes it, whether they are having a good day or not or if they've had there dose of caffeine
Pink slip is temporary residency....after 5 yrs of holding temporary residency you are obliged to apply for permanent residency proving 5 yrs of legitimate residency, pink slips bills etc
If you can afford to buy a property in excess of €300k plus prevailing rate of vat currently 5% the you could opt for slow track residency or if you have lots of cash then fast track 6.2 residency would give you permanent residency and access to GESY.
Sadly since losing EU citizenship and gaining TCN status Brits are subject to harsher conditions and financial healthcare requirements plus restrictions on working.
But like most things here there are ways to circumvent them ..you just have to know the right people but it does come with risks.
@Phil draper
Get this ...
My mates friends niece has just got residency wih just €3k in the bank account, working remotely with an income from abroad having never lived as a resident here before..she just proved with a boarding pass that she had travelled pre brexit to Cyprus.
At some stage she will likely apply for mukw3 and access GESY too and get it using the same corrupt agent without having paid any contributions to Cyprus at all
That is so not right
