And TLL, that's an accurate number--I got it from Wikipedia (5,254,560 population and I had to subtract one--HIM!)

The first thing came in my mind on seeing this was to see if it's a random number for the sake of humor or something real. Took me 5 seconds. That's why I said 'good at *crunch* numbers'

I should be arriving in a month or so! Hope to be able to meet all of you at one of your gatherings! I am single and will be teaching-I will be really up to meet some woman from home! Can expats have activities planned outside compounds without the police worrying them?

I'm new to Saudi Arabia. I've been here for 1 week (lmao)... I heard horror stories of people posting up ;fun' activites for expats, and the Mutawa have the power to track it online...

The confused and mixed responses from expats about a social life in Saudi drains my energy.. the conflicting responses about what you can do is not good. Dealing with the culture shock and trying to understand the culture of the expats around me is a challenge in itself!!!!
