Hi Hadeel,
How funny is that! I got excited too and wanted to jump in till I read your post. I guess it is never too late to meet new friends in this thread. Inbox me if you would like.

This thread STARTED two years ago but it's ongoing.  If you go to the prior page, you'll see where recently a bunch of ladies made plans to meet up.

Perhaps one of you two would like to suggest something.  It can be as simple as coffee at Kingdom!

we are all bored here either men or women, and I think we should look for something interresting,we are not using this forum properly I think, why cant we share our knowlagrs and experiences in life and career, books we have read, our experience in raising our children, and even our mistakes in life, our communities, and childhood

I think you Couples can meet up during these Eid Holidays, I don't think there is any problem with that wink.png Have Happy Eid Vacation if you have one! And for Singles (including me) I might end up watching movies (At home) and eating with friends during Eid Vacation big_smile.png
Advance Eid Wishes! May Allah bless you all with best of the best! smile.png

I am not sure that any universities in this country have female dormitories.  Females in this country are kept secluded and 'protected' (by force).  Female dormitories is a whole new alien concept which would have severe implications with regards to safety, chastity, etc, and the country is not at stage to open that Pandora's box, similar to women driving.  If I am wrong and there are unis with female dorms, hope someone will correct me.

What do you even want to study?  Very few students come from abroad as foreign students to study at unis in this country, and they are ALL male, and most come to study Islam.  So even if female dorms exist, this is not doable and has not been done.

The only exception to what I have said above is KAUST (King Abdullah University of Science and Technology).  That is the king's own university, and is not subject to the restrictive laws regarding women.  Women do not have to wear an abaya there or even cover their hair, there is free mixing of the sexes and coeducation, and women drive inside the campus.  It is basically an enclave of freedom beyond the reach of the religious authorities, and so unofficially, not a part of the country.  But that's only a graduate school offering master's and PhDs, and only in applied sciences and technology.  You can come and study there if it is relevant to your field of prior study, if any.  But any other university, forget about it.

What do you mean that you will study here in Saudi Arabia and no place to stay on?
Coz just to give you somebackground here this placeis not an open country.

Do activities with your little girl.  There is so much you can do, you can get ideas from the Internet or from books.

Painting, drawing, coloring
Baking
Sports, exercise, gymnastics
Music
Educational toys
Learning shapes, colors, alphabet, etc
Children's games to develop their senses, imagination, etc

Search on google for "activities for toddlers" and you will see you will get millions of results.  Remember, their brain is going through the fastest development period now, so take advantage of that!
