Health Insurance

gallowayrw

Hi All,

My partner and I are considering a move to either Valencia or to Vilanova i la Geltru on the ritirement visa (non-lucrative resident visa).

Can anyone recommend a private health insurance policy or an insurance broker and tell us your experience?

Thanks,

Richard

I'd start by looking at the comparison engines, as they'll give you a bunch of products by different insurers at different prices. They're Rastreator and Acierto (both dot com). I think the biggies include Sanitas, ASISA, Adeslas, DKV and Axa and they all have their own websites where you get quotes and buy direct. We had an ASISA policy for a couple of years, and they are pretty good (and well-priced).

Thanks for the info.

When we were looking into private health insurance options, we found that comparison websites were helpful, but working with a broker gave us more tailored advice. It's easy to get overwhelmed with all the different policies, so having someone break down the benefits and costs for us was really useful. AXA and Bupa were two providers we considered, as they have strong reputations.
