@gafarvictoir Work permit is approved by region (Brussels [the fastest], Flanders and Wallonie), if your is Flanders it has nothing to do with Brussels, not the same ministry that approves

@Sarah Smaili

I’m planning to stay in Ghent. My company is like 30 mins from there by road.

I am not sure why still my status is 'new application'

sahosseiniee

@Milad Rashidifard Hi, my submission is also on 28th sep. I have not heard anything from HR so far too regarding my work permit. Do you know if we will receive an email when the WP is issued or we have to contact the HR for that? Will HR receive an email or they should log in in a site and check our status?

Sarah Smaili

@buddha.jpeg oh I see, may I know how you are preparing for the housing? Is the company the one helping you with this?

Rymah

@sahosseiniee

It's the employer that gets noticed about the WP / SP status .

I am not sure though if  they receive the notification only by email or if they log in on a web site to check.

@Sarah Smaili

Yes this company called relocation belgium is supposed to help me with finding temporary  and long term housing and fee other things like opening a bank account,  registration with city hall etc.

anyone from September Applicants (Flanders)  received their WP?

Visionofart

Hello everyone,

It was really enlightning to read everyones experiences and also frustrating to wait..

My company applied for my SP August 31st and since then i didnt recieve anything at all.

If you have any idea or knowledge about a situation like this, can you pleaseee inform me! I’m in desperate and losing my hopes.. thnx

sahosseiniee

@Visionofart nothing? Not even the WP?  Are you in touch with your employer?

Visionofart

@sahosseiniee no nothing.. i am in touch with my employer and they also check daily updates but nothing recieved so far.

They also sent an email to the authorities but they also didnt recieve anything yet. We have no idea whats happening and should i be worried

ippscorp

@Visionofart According to the announcements, it can take up to 4 months, thus, yet nothing to be worried. Wish it comes soon.

sahosseiniee

@Visionofart i agree with ispcorp. Though it is a bit strange that you have not heard anything yet, there is nothing to be worried about. They have a 4 month deadline and they have to give you a their final decision till then. Anyway, i knew a guy with the same situation. One month ago, she got her sp after 4 month while she had not been notified about her wp too. Hopefully for you, it will come soon too.

Visionofart

@ippscorp yes i saw the announcnents as well. Thats why i still have hopes because i keep telling myself that nothings wrong with my status and application for the visa..

But as i ready from everyone elses comments, at least in 2 months they recieved the SP and WP takes longer. Thats why i thought its been 3 months and i didnt recieve anything. But i think i’ll just need to keep waiting

Visionofart

@sahosseiniee i rally hope so!! Maybe and hopefully that will be the case.

I’ve been already working in Belgium last year but then me and my employer agreed to finish our contract and i had to come back to my home country. After a while i found another job and we started the process again.

I really hope that the cause of this long waiting will eventually end up recieving the SP and the WP at the same time 🙏🏻

@sahosseiniee   hi, what does that 4 months mean? is it a total time to get a SP or just WP?
