@Visionofart
Wow that is a long time. Well I guess I won't be getting mine any time soon π I applied on the 21st of September
@Visionofart
Just that you know, itβs seems to take 2-3 months for the flanders regional authorities to decide on Work Permit. Once that is completed, the file goes to the federal authorities for residence permit. That can take a maximum of 4 months. Reading the forum here, it seems the avg waiting time is 2 months. After that you have to make an appointment to the embassy and give your passport for stamping visa. That notmally take few days to 2 weeks !.
Belgium immigration system is fcked up!.
The good news you heard is probably about WP. Unless you are the lucky one
@junaydcheriti
I havent used their service yet. I just have an email from them asking me to contact them once i get the single permit. They will only start their work after then.
@Sarah Smaili
its definetly a long time.. I had the same process last year when i first started to work in Belgium and my paperworks took 4 months in total but this year it apperantly changed and everyone is having the same issue.
I see from this website that some people recieve earlier so yours might not take that long. But i think no ones know or can guarantee But eventually youβll get it ππ»
@buddha.jpeg
yeah thats right. i agree what you say and i really dont understand why it takes that long. it shouldnt be that hard to go over the files.. anyways.
I hope that the news was about my WP but i also hope that it wont take another 4 months becaue then we will need to change the beginning dates on the contract and send again π i just really hope to be lucky enough to recieve SP in the month of December π€π»
@sahosseiniee
Hi,
you will not receive an email since the HR applied for you, and they immediately receive an email confirmation.
But they also can check the dossier status online at any stage.
Has anyone got any updates this week? plz share it with us.
I submitted on 28 Sep, but haven't receive WP yet.
@Sarah Smaili Did you received, mine applied during same time still no update even for work permit then will be RP
@sahosseiniee
hi, unfortunately the processing time seems to beΒ random. however the bright side is that the whole process usually takes standard 4 months.
for me, have applied October 9-Flander and got WP on October 17 now waiting for RP.
I trust most of the cases are getting updates but it is not like everyone put their updates here.
Fingers crossed and hope that this waiting game ends well soon for everyone. π€π»
@mdalisaadat hello , so I did receive a file from the HR of the laboratory in which i will be working and it said that my application documents have been validated and that from today on in maximum 3 months I will have a reply concerning the wp and residency permit.
So now at least I know that I have official a maximum of 3 months of wait.
It is three months for me because I will be going to Belgium as a researcher but for general cases in the document it is written 120 days
@sahosseiniee the HR received a document from the department work & social economy saying that my application has been validated and from today a decision concerning my single permit will be taken within 90 days.
@Sarah Smaili
Hi, Sarah, I would like to ask when did you start applying and How long did you wait from receiving the privacy notice to "your file has been verified"? Did you receive your work permit?Β Thanks in advance. I don't get any reply since I received no-reply email.
@Rebeccalai
So from what I heard and read my case is a bit unique, usually you know if your applications is admissable a couple of days after applying but in my case it took two months.
I applied on the 21st September and my application was admissible on the 30th of November.
In the documents it is mentioned that in maximum 90 days I will have a reply concerning my SP.
@Sarah Smaili
Thanks for your helpΒ Sarah! You are so kind. I will ask my HR whether my application has been admissible so that a processing period of up to 4 months will begin.
@Visionofart

Hello,Β
My company will apply for the single permit in Flanders but I have a criminal record from Brussels in french. Does it have to be in Dutch or it is okay? thanks in advance.
@aylaalishli I think any language National Language (Dutch,German, French) and English are acceptable
@aylaalishli any language is okay as long as there is an Apostille on it.
Good luck
Hello everybody!
I'm waiting for Annex 46, and my process is continuing. The details about my single permit renewal application are below (I shared them before, but I want to remind you again);
Region: Brussels
Country of origin: Turkey

No-reply: 27/10/23
Admissable: 06/11/23

In treatment by Immigration Office: 15/01/2024
Annex 46: waiting
Now, I am staying in Belgium with my Annex 49 document. I also talked with the Immigration Office about the approval time, and they told me between 8-12 weeks. Also, after I receive my Annex 46, I have to go to the commune and renew my card. It'll take 2-3 weeks.
However, I have to go back to Turkey around mid-March for some personal family reasons. One of my colleagues had the same situation a couple of years ago, and she applied for a single entry visa via her commune during the waiting time for her RP renewal process.
So, I want to learn details about the single-entry return visa application process, and eligibility criteria. If someone knows any information about this visa, I'd be happy to learn it.
Thanks a lot!!

@mugeebilgen
Hi muggebilgen, your WP was approved on December 22, 2023. The immigration office tells you 8-12 weeks. Do you know how time starts to count, from when WP is approved? Thanks!Β

Β Β -@mugeebilgen hi, how do you know the treatment time by Immigration Office?Β Β
@Rebeccalai
heyy!
They sent me this email when I asked them the same question; "You should expect a processing time of approximately 8 to 12 weeks by our services. This counts from the date of the decision of the competent region."
According to their sayings, it is supposed to start counting on December 22nd. However, they started to be processed on January 15th.
@Zoe Run
You can follow your application process via this website;
UPDATE!
I got my SP approval on Feb 7th.
