Post new topic

Hi all, hope you are well, quick question Re: Above. Does this mean Internationals from UK can stay up to 50ish day in Philippines without a visa.? If I want to stay longer, would I apply for a 3/6 month visa? I am thinking about the SRRV retirement, but only concern, will i ever see my money again?

Many thanks.

Hi and welcome.

Not sure the New Visa Regulations you are asking about, perhaps post a link and share with the members.

Currently for some 150 countries it is a 30 day visitor visa at no charge, if you want to extend for another 29 days that will cost you P 3,030. That can be accomplished at the airport on arrival or in an immi office later. The 29 days come first and that is simply a revenue grab, after that depending on where you apply you might get 6 months but only twice in 3 years.

Applying for an SRRV you  will need your 59 days or the PRA won't process your application and remember they take your passport so you can't leave the country, can take 6 or 7 weeks to process providing your deposit and paperwork is in order.

Getting your money back can take up to 6 months if you decide to pull out, same for your executor/s in the event of your demise.

Only a suggestion but why not simply stay on a visitor visa, I have been here for over 4 years and it costs around P 22K per year, do your sums and see what you come up with.

Good luck.

Cheers, Steve.

Hi I saw it from some youtube blogger, where the length of stay was being extended &  introducing E-Visa,s

Cherryann01

There is a video from Gio in The Philippines saying that the visa changes have been passed and the visa on arrival will be issued for 59 days instead of the current 30. He does go on to say that the changes will probably take some time to come in, October was the month he used but just a guess. There does seem to be confusion about the Exit Clearance though and if it will apply for the initial 59 days. One comment under his video said it would not be needed for the initial 59 day or less stay.
