Hi everyone. This is a potential PR pathway that I'm considering. If you have obtained PR in Australia and migrated via this pathway, please share you experiences...any information would be highly appreciated.

Since you arrived in Australia without a pre-existing job offer (which I assume was the case), how did you go about finding temporary jobs until your landed a job that matched your skill set?

How hard were part-time jobs to come by?

Did being non-native put you at a disadvantage?

Were you able to afford accomodation and basic amenities with your temporary income?

Because I assume that it is not practical to live off your converted-to-AUD savings until you land a target job, which might be a long-drawn and technical process depending on your profession.

On a side note, did you end up permanently doing a job that was different from your previous professional background in your home country?
