Money charges for money in current account

Can any one advise, we recently sold a property in Cy.. the money is in a current account and we are getting charges for it sitting there.. we don't want to risk loosing bit on investment risks but there must be somewhere we can put it safely, that it earns something as opposed us paying for it sitting there.....

Nobody pays interest worth having in Cyprus...have a look at FimBAnk Easisave in Malta been with them from 15 yrs ..good and solid....
