Tennis in Siem Reap?

Post new topic

HamSR

Hi there,

I just moved to Siem Reap to explore life in semi-retirement after living in PP.  Tennis is one of my favorite ways to keep active, but I don't seem to find much info on tennis clubs or courts in Siem Reap. Any suggestions appreciated. Cheers, Paul

Hello.  I am a Japanese looking for a hitting parter where I stay in Siem Riap.  My hotel has two tennis courts in fairly good condition (renovated recently) and I would like to hit balls w/somebody on weekdays from 8:00 - 9:00 a.m befor I start working.  Please come join me If you feel OK to play with a *female* player.  Though I am felame, I started playing tennis when I was a teenager and I useually play with guys, so I am used to strong hittings.  Currently the hotel is planning to re-open their tennis club (it's been closed for years because of Covid-19) so I can introduce you a hotel manager who's in charge of the operation of the club if you like.   Please reply to me if you're interested, Thanks.  -Kaori

Hi Ham, im in the same boat as you but a few months behind. Gonna be in Siem Reap this month, maybe next week and need to find a court and partner! The plan is to move there full-time

Currently living just over the border in Sakaeo,  Thailand.

Hi William,

I started playing at the Raffles where they have two decent hard courts - I am ususally the only one there playing with a Cambodian coach.  I took a membership but I believe you can also play as a guest.  There aren't too many courts in Siem Reap, surprisingly, and just one or two other hotels seem to have one (or two).

Unfortunately, I'll be traveling for 5-6 weeks from the 16th, but would be happy to play in January if you're around.

Best,

Paul

PS:  I think there are two other interested players on this thread, Kaori and Davy, so hopefully something will work out...

Hello Kaori,

Just saw your message today when Willam posted his.  I tried to reply but don't think that went through.  I currently play at the Raffles.  Are you still looking for a hitting partner?  Let me know, and perhaps we can work something out.  The only thing is that I'll be traveling until the end of December from the middle of next week.

Best regards,

Paul

Hi Kaori

We have been playing on the courts at Angkor Palace resort and spa hotel.

Which hotel are you playing at ( where you know the manager ) ?

We want to play doubles if you have a fourth player? Anyone?

That would be great Lexi. We need to find one other  player. Any takers?

Hello. Spoke to Angkor wat spa hotel and they will rent a court for 10 USD and rackets if anyone is interested. I am an unfit 50 year old and on a1-10 scale a solid 5 but will improve.

Anyone interested?

HamSR

Hi, I haven't played for several months now but interested in getting it going again.  I suppose you mean Angkor Palace Resort & Spa? i am generally fairly flexible for scheduling.  You can pm me if this sounds good to you.  Cheers, Paul
