Post new topic

I have rented a service apartment in Lisbon for over 12 months.

started May 2023 till September 2024.

my documents have been with the Embassy in Singapore for nearly 6 weeks and no updates.

can any one tell me if they have done a service flat and been accepted or refused because it’s a service place?

thank you.

Hi Johnny. i thought i would update you on my brothers D7 visa progress.

Applied in VFS London Wilson Street in person 29th November 2023.

Tracking the application it always said ”sent to Portuguese consulate on 30th November” this was never updated.

He received a DHL package this afternoon Monday May 8th at 15.40. It has his passport with a Portuguese D7 stamp in it and an appointment at AIMA on 17th April in Albufeira.

We went alone on this application just assisted by a tax representative and a lawyer to notarise the application form.  The cost was less than €500 in total. with a couple of flights on top.

I am sharing this because i have seem some posts where some are waiting to hear. The number of days it had taken in total with Christmas and New Year in between well 30/11 to 8/12 = 38 days in total.

Hi Anna,

Thank you for your feedback. It's definitely useful here.

Here's some support for the interview in Albufeira:

Hi Johnny,

So all the  original documents my brother submitted were retained by vfs. They have returned his passport with D7 and an appointment at AIMA.

However the original documents he handed over were not returned? Have you any experience of this? They were scanned on the appointment day by the vfs representative.

I am mainly concerned about the application form,  particularly the free lease agreement for his accomodation for example. There was a personal statement also and the form authorising a criminal record check in Portugal. We do have copies but they are not the originals that were notarised by a Portuguese Lawyer.

Have you heard of this before? We thought they would be returned with the passport?

Anna - maybe they will be returned in due course?
