I have a criminal record but want to move to Agadir

eXOFNG1983

Hey there, I would like advice from anyone who has managed to move here, get residency and even married here.

I am putting my hands up now, I broke the law 15 years ago at the age of 25, my first and last offence, I have now moved on with my life, I do not need any negative replies, I did wrong and paid the price and also my life has changed for the good.

I live in Agadir although I have to do the 90 day visa trip, I want to know if I have any chance of getting a residency permit?  I commited fraud 15 years ago, at the time I did not realise I was being used, but when I realised I did I went straight to the police to report myself (hand myself in), anyway, I ripped people off unknowingly and the person who at the time I believed was a friend ripped me off and has not been caught, but I pleaded guilty and got 20 months in prison, I served 5 months in prison and 5 months at home and 10 months probation.

Since then I have changed my way of life, I now run my own business where I can work from a laptop, I learnt digital art whilst in prison and I can honestly say it was the best thing I did, but now I live here, fell in love with a fantastic woman who accepts I did bad and forgives me, but what are the chances of getting accepted here?  As I am self employed I cannot really get references, would it be a good idea to see if I can get a reference from the judge that sent me to prison or the police officers who arrested and investigated me?

Anyway, I am sorry for the long post, just any advice will be welcome, thanks
