Hi,

My family and I will arrive in Brussels this weekend and we are obliged to register to the commune within 8 days after we arrived there. here is the screen for my space in schaerbeel commune.

I have made an appointment to make an ID card next week.

my question is do I need to file an application in this my space in advance?

thank you

ARMaliq

This is the first step (Registration within 8 days). Even if you attend your appointment at the commune, they will turn you away because you haven't registered using this platform. Once approved, the commune will invite you themselves for the application of a residence permit.

@ARMaliq Thank you for your reply. okay, so means I have to fill in everything first before making an appointment for the ID right? and also I do not need to make other separate appointment to register our residence, right?

just fill in everything and wait for the next step from the commune?

ARMaliq

You're welcome.

Yes. This is the only step you are supposed to do. Commune will process your application and send you an invitation to make your residence permit.

@syieda hi, could you please inform me how to make an appointment with Schaerbeek townhall? is it online, by email or by phone call? I tried to find the info on their website but it was only in Dutch and French and the translation didn’t really help.

moreover, when do you make the appointment? after you arrive in Brussels or beforehand? considering we only have 8 days for the registration process.

thank you in advance.
