Finding staffing in Bali

CH889

Anyone has suggestions on where to start to find staffing? I will be renting a small villa but need someone who can clean as well as does yard work (very small garden and pool). I heard that it’s best not to hire a permanent one due to Indonesian labor laws (having to set up retirement plan and health insurance etc which is a headache). Best of all, needs to be trustworthy. I don’t know if I should find a reputable agency or ?  Any help is appreciated

My best advise to you is to follow the methods used by innumerable expats who have come here long before you.

Go to the Kepala desa...the head of your village and bring offerings of rice, sugar and coffee .  State your intentions, (why you've moved into his village) show some humility and and an honest intent and desire to be a welcomed part of his village community.  Tell the village head of your needs and desire for some local help and you will find what you need.

Never lose sight of the basic fact that you are a guest here in Bali.

Ok thank you. I’m find it difficult to find a young staff since most of them work for cruise ships.  renting a 3 bedroom villa and hoping one person will be sufficient to tend a very small yard (about 7 m2) and the pool as well as cleaning? There is also a small swimming pool.
