Opening an expat bank bank account in Mauritius

You are an expat. You applied for a permit. You got the approval in principle. But now you want to open a bank account in Mauritius but you having problems at all the banks because you don't have a local address and you don't have the permit yet. Well after going bank to bank I found a bank that understands and will open an account


Bankone in Port Louis. You need your passport. Bank reference letter and bank statements from your home bank. Proof of address in your home country. A copy of the permit in principle.


You need to phone bankone in Port Louis 16 Sir William  Newton Street and make an appointment to see Anouskha Jeebun She will open you an expat account. No surprises. If you want you can tell her I referred you. Billy Long
