I keep seeing adverts for virtual SIM cards with international roaming.

I have absolutely no clue how good they are.

In general, a local SIM is likely to be the best

grab a sim card from smarty  and get  the app

I would get a local PAYG SIM. I guess you are staying at a hotel, you will have Free WiFi?

I would suggest getting giff gaff sim in uk and their goodbag.. it has favourable roaming arrangement in Spain. If you buy payg sim in spain them get ready to pay higher price for calls/text back to uk

Hello, I simply went to a local store and bought a rechargeable SIM from Másmovil: for 10€ I have 40Gb of data and unlimited calls for one month. But I suppose there are other providers with inexpensive rechargeable offers for which you do not need to have a Spanish bank account.

Enjoy your stay in Valencia!

thanks all for your advice

masmovil, use your phone from UK, 10 euros per month for 40GB, for me it is the best value, call anywhere.
