Received email response after submitting E-Visa -"requires additional information due to the following reason: Please update the correct address in Vietnam (in details)."

Can I update the original application or must I resubmit a new one?

Also we are staying at various hotels during our time in Vietnam.  Which one do I include?

Our first hotel is May De Ville Hotel, 24 Han Thuyen, Hai Ba Trung, Hanoi. Which dosn't fit in the space provided.

Your help would be apreciated.

Hello jdiggins. Welcome to the expat.com Vietnam forum. I'd asked admin to move your post to this related thread.

Sorry to hear of the difficulty you're experiencing.

Received email response after submitting E-Visa -"requires additional information due to the following reason: Please update the correct address in Vietnam (in details)."

The "Temporary Residential Address" field requires,,,

The name of the location including the street address, the city, the district, and the ward. The address you've supplied is missing the ward (Pham Dinh Ho)

Can I update the original application or must I resubmit a new one?

You should be able to amend your application. On the eVisa web portal page where you applied, select "SEARCH" at the top of the page, and enter the pertinent information. You must have your application's "e-Visa Code*", provided to you upon submission of your application. The "Results" should give you the option to amend.

I'm saying "should" due to this being only the 2nd day of operation for immigration's new eVisa web portal.

Also we are staying at various hotels during our time in Vietnam. Which one do I include? Our first hotel is May De Ville Hotel, 24 Han Thuyen, Hai Ba Trung, Hanoi. Which dosn't fit in the space provided.

Use your first location. Subsequent location/hotels will register you with immigration as staying there. Provide the hotels with a copy of your passport (you should retain your original passport).

Amend your application to show the following...

Residential address in Viet Nam* - May De Ville Hotel, 24 Han Thuyen Road  (include nothing else in this line)

Province/city* - HA NOI City

District* - HAI BA TRUNG District

Ward/commune* - PHAM DINH HO Ward

That is the address format now being used at the new application web portal.

NOTE:

If the "amendment" link leads you to the old (pre-Nov11th) application, complete it as follows...

Intended temporary residential address in Viet Nam* - May De Ville Hotel, 24 Han Thuyen Road, PHAM DINH HO Ward, HAI BA TRUNG District (include nothing else in this line)

City/Province* - HA NOI City (from drop-down box)

Your help would be apreciated. - @jdiggins

I do hope this helps you. Incredibly frustrating, we're well aware. Feel free to ask any additional questions you might have.

Please take the time to let the forum know of your progress through this. We'd very much appreciate it.

Hello badalram152. Welcome to the expat.com Vietnam forum.

If you've already applied and paid, subsequently receiving a denial/amendment-request, then no, you do not have to pay again.

You do not have to reapply. You must amend the application, fixing the issue mentioned in the denial notice issued to you by Vietnam immigration.

Have you received a denial notice?
