Denied Reason: please provide a detailed address in Vietnam
Will do, and YES. I had it when I woke up an hour ago. First try, and I owe it to you!! I’ll start a new thread with some general questions. Hope to hear from you on that side. Again, thank you so much. I’m on the plane in 13 days!!!!!

@Aidan in HCMC Greetings .The hotel names is. THE ONE PREMIUM HOTEL, 29 Thủ Khoa Huân, Phường Bến Thành, Quận 1, Hồ Chí Minh 700000, Vietnam.
Hi again.
The hotel name looks good. Did you enter the address exactly as described in post #626, here?
It should be entered only like this...
Residential address in Viet Nam* - The One Premium Hotel, 29 Thu Khoa Huan (include nothing else in this line)
Province/city* - HO CHI MINH City
District* - 1 District
Ward/commune* - BEN THANH Ward
"Do not enter the full address in a single line, rather, complete each of the fields exactly as indicated above.
Do not enter the word "Vietnam" anywhere in the application. There is no field for this and it is, of course, assumed that the address will be in Vietnam.
Do not include the "700000" postal code anywhere in the address."
And by the way my photo match % is 78% is that good or I should change it ???
78% is a close match. Let's hope it is accepted by immigration. If it is rejected again, you can try a better picture. See my reply to member kevinodprobate in post #630, here for details.
"Though no longer viewable, a previous faq page for the application stated that the portrait picture was to be taken with a white background, no glasses, no shadows, and neutral facial expression. If your application is denied due to the portrait pic, try to follow those guidelines."
And on attaching documents is it ok I attach my employment contract?? Or bank statement??
Before attaching/amending anything on your application, let us know first what any denial might state. It might very well be that your application gets approved today (we hope).
Am expecting 4th denial today... - @Arinaitwebenard97
I hope not, but if it is denied, let us know the denial reason before you resubmit/amend it.
We know this is very frustrating for you. Hang in there, and we will do our best to help you.
Will do, and YES. I had it when I woke up an hour ago.
Yesssss! Congratulations! Stress, be gone!
First try, and I owe it to you!!
Thanks, but I can't claim much credit. Were it not for members providing feedback to the forum, I'd be as lost as anyone.
I’ll start a new thread with some general questions. Hope to hear from you on that side.
Good stuff. Lots of helpful folk on the forum. Looking forward to your questions.
Again, thank you so much. I’m on the plane in 13 days!!!!! - @kevinodprobate
My pleasure, sir. Glad the approval came through.
New Year in Vietnam!!
@Aidan in HCMC
Thanks for always replying and assisting us for free...
I have just received the 4th denial with same reason as usual.
Denial reason: Provide details of organisation organizing tour or expected to contact when in Vietnam...
I would like to know is Show money asked at Vietnam Airport before entry? Am asking because I always keep my money on my visa card not cash.
And lastly .. there is agency in Vietnam that suggest to help me with Approval Letter for Tourist visa on Arrival...
As am Ugandan can Approval letter for tourist visa on arrival work ?? Or I wait for my evisa application untill it goes through..
I was also advised by agency that I should remove the 90 days of stay to 1 month as Vietnam is strict for people in Africa who request 90 days single entry.. what is your advice on that .
@Aidan in HCMC Thanks for always replying and assisting us for free...
You're quite welcome. My pleasure.
I have just received the 4th denial with same reason as usual. Denial reason: Provide details of organisation organizing tour or expected to contact when in Vietnam...
Okay, good. I suggest you resubmit your application with no amendments. This is provided, of course, that you've followed all previous amendment suggestions made to you.
I would like to know is Show money asked at Vietnam Airport before entry? Am asking because I always keep my money on my visa card not cash.
No, there'll be no cash outlay required upon arrival.
And lastly .. there is agency in Vietnam that suggest to help me with Approval Letter for Tourist visa on Arrival...As am Ugandan can Approval letter for tourist visa on arrival work ??
That might be an alternative, provided your intended length of stay is less than 30 days (reports are VOAs are valid for ~25 days). From what I understand about the VOA approval letter, the agency will require from you a more detailed application which they would then submit on your behalf. I've also heard that VOA approval letters are not cheap. See member OceanBeach92107 's post #500, here, regarding VOAs.
Or I wait for my evisa application untill it goes through..
Resubmit your application today with no amendments. As mentioned, there does not appear to be a limit on the number of times an application can be resubmitted, and there is no additional charge to you.
I was also advised by agency that I should remove the 90 days of stay to 1 month as Vietnam is strict for people in Africa who request 90 days single entry.. what is your advice on that . - @Arinaitwebenard97
It's not just applicants from African nations. See post #501, here, where I gave details of my conversation with a proven, trusted local visa agent used by multiple expat.com members.
I've helped a number of members from African nations successfully apply for their 90 day eVisas. I know you've already missed your initial arrival date, but if you are able to hold off a little more then I would suggest you do so. The decision, ultimately, will be your own to make.
So, time allowing I suggest you resubmit, no amendments. Please do let us know the results.
Best of luck, and I hope to hear good news from you soon (fingers crossed!).
Hi guys, hope you all are well.
I have a problem with my new Evisa which I applied through evisa.gov.vn. This comment says I need to amend the details in my form.
Application status: Amendment required
Reason: Please provide correct name, address, phone number of the tourist company in Vietnam where you book your tour
Last time when I applied through the old Evisa portal, I didn't fill these lines and this time I didn't fill them in either. I am going to Vietnam to see my GF and I have no idea what details to add here or what I should do to get this fixed.
If any of you know how to fix this, I would be more than happy to know. Thank you very much. Your help is much appreciated.

Hi there Max. Good to hear from you again. I asked admin to move your post to this relevant thread.
Things at VN immigration have changed since your first visit back in July.
Take at look at post #485, here. Sri Lanka is now included on that list.
I'm going to ask you to read the posts in this thread starting at post #586, here. It shouldn't take you too long. Pay close attention to the links provided in that post to member bintagoree, a citizen of Senegal. The information contained in my post to that member will apply equally to Sri Lankans (and also to citizens of many other regions/countries).
Continue reading all the posts from post #586 onward to the end of this thread. Once you've done that, feel free to jump back in here with any questions you might (rather, you will!) have.
@Aidan in HCMC
Greetings.
Today I have received the 5th amendment request, but this time the reason is different from the usual reason .
Today amendment reason: ( Reason: you are required to complete all the blanks in the application form.
All blanks are completed.
My question is, in Uganda on my permanent address is answered as bellow.
Permanent address (home country address)
*Nateete
Contact address (home country address)
*Nateete
As in my country many home have no address like street number, street names, only big companies have registered address so I don't know if I should get a nearby let's say registered company and I use there address as my permanent address.
And then another thing on employment. There is where they ask
Occupational info. ( I put there my job position which is Tour Manager.
And then there is where still they ask . (Position /course of study) , I put Tourism as am in Tourism business but is this the right answer or I should put my Job position .
And my company address where I work is as bellow. ( PLOT 2B ROBERT ROAD KINAWATAKA MBUYA KAMPALA UGANDA.
SORRY TO ASK TOO MUCH .
But am asking myself why the past 4th denial reason was always the same reason but now 5th amendment they have changed the denial reason. ( I receive amendment every after 3 days which means if I resubmit today then I will get another response on friday.
Hope to hear from you soon because I want to resubmit after your comment.
@Aidan in HCMC
Greetings.
Today I have received the 5th amendment request, but this time the reason is different from the usual reason .
Today amendment reason: ( Reason: you are required to complete all the blanks in the application form.
It's actually a positive sign that they've moved on to the next in the reported string of denials. It means that immigration is satisfied with your not completing the "Agency/Organization/Individual that the applicant plans to contact when enter into Viet Nam" field, and that you answered there, "No".
All blanks are completed.
I'm unable to open the evisa.gov.vn site here now, getting a 404:Bad Gateway error, so I can't quote the new application's exact wording regarding all the fields it contains. Take a look at post #459 and post #434 for what was suggested to members when they received the same denial. The suggestions in those two posts quote the application's fields as they appeared on the older application (prior to Nov11th) but I'm sure you'll see the new application contains similar wording.
It's not a mandatory field, but due to immigration insisting "all blanks" be completed, then agreed that an address should be entered there. Not being mandatory, it's doubtful that immigration will confirm it, but I'd caution you against using the registered address of a corporation. What do you call the street you live on? Use that, entering something like "27 Name of Your Steet, Nateete, Uganda". Use the same for both permanent and contact addresses.
And then another thing on employment. There is where they ask
Occupational info. ( I put there my job position which is Tour Manager.
Should be "Name of the travel company, Tour Manager"
And then there is where still they ask . (Position /course of study) , I put Tourism as am in Tourism business but is this the right answer or I should put my Job position .
Put "Position/ Manager" there.
And my company address where I work is as bellow. ( PLOT 2B ROBERT ROAD KINAWATAKA MBUYA KAMPALA UGANDA.
Good address.
SORRY TO ASK TOO MUCH .
No need to apologise. Happy to help.
But am asking myself why the past 4th denial reason was always the same reason but now 5th amendment they have changed the denial reason. ( I receive amendment every after 3 days which means if I resubmit today then I will get another response on friday.
You've complied with the requests (i.e. jumped through the hoops!) regarding that "Agency/Organization..." question, and now they have moved on to the next in their list of denials. Many reports from members mirror your application results/amendment requests. Hang in there.
Hope to hear from you soon because I want to resubmit after your comment. - @Arinaitwebenard97
Resubmit, and do let us know the results.
As always, good luck sir.

Requires additional information due to the following reason: YOU ARE REQUIRED TO COMPLETE ALL THE BLANKS IN THE APPLICATION FORM.
But I have just submitted with making any amendments because all fields are completed expect organization details which is not for tourists as you said

Give me a minute and I'll try now to look at the application. Hopefully it is now accessible.
Okay, it's back up.
So, you've completed all the mandatory fields, otherwise you'd not have been able to proceed to payment. We'll ignore the mandatory fields, and take a look at all the others. Many members have reported denial by not completing the Religion field. It is mandatory. No reports from members of any sort of discrimination.
Section 1. PERSONAL INFORMATION
Identity card- If Uganda does not issue a federal identity card to its citizens, enter your passport # there.
Have you ever used any other passports to enter into Viet Nam?-
Do you have multiple nationalities?
Violation of the Vietnamese laws/regulations (if any)
If "Yes" to any of the above, complete required fields accurately.
Section 3. PASSPORT INFORMATION
Issuing Authority/Place of issue
This field is not showing as mandatory, but should be completed. Enter the information exactly as it appears on your passport.
Section 5. OCCUPATION
Occupation- As the manager, select "Employee" from the drop down box.
Occupation Info- I suggest you enter, "Foreign International Tourism Organization"
Name of Company/Agency/School- The registered name of the company for whom you work. I suggest you enter it as "name of your company, Nateete, Uganda". Include "Nateete, Uganda" so immigration doesn't think you're coming here to work.
Position/Course of study- Enter "Position/ Manager". Include the word, "Position".
Address of Company/Agency/School- Exactly as you had stated in a previous post.
Company/agency/school phone number- Enter it as, "Company/ +256 --- --- ---". Include the word "Company".
Section 6. INFORMATION ABOUT THE TRIP
Phone number (in Viet Nam)- Enter "0947 545 537". That is their registered phone# for "The One Premium Hotel"
Agency/Organization/Individual that the applicant plans to contact when enter into Viet Nam?- "No"
Section 8. TRIP’S EXPENSES, INSURANCE
Intended expenses (in USD)- Calculate at ~$700 per month (i.e. ~$2,100 90 days).
Did you buy insurance? Third party travel insurance is not required to enter Vietnam. To simplify the application process, I suggest you choose "No".
Who will cover the trip’s expenses of the applicant- Select "Personal".
There have been reports of there being a "Section 9", wherein you can enter additional information, and/or upload images. I'm unable to view this section. I suggest you leave it blank if you are able to see that section.
Again, the repetition of immigrations denials to you seem to be, according to reports from members, par for the course.
Give your application a quick look over, following the suggestions above, and resubmit.
Yes, we know. Immigration does not make it easy.
Nice to see immigration being proactive in trimming/amending/simplifying the application.
No longer does there appear under Section 8. TRIP’S EXPENSES, INSURANCE a question as to whether the applicant will be bringing cash or credit card.

None of us should assume to know immigration's reason for such a quick turnaround. There have been reports from members of their receiving a response from immigration on the same day that their amended application had been resubmitted, but it's not a common occurrence.
I'll fathom a guess and say that I suspect it to be because your application is simply proceeding through the denial cycle. Don't be alarmed.
6th denial received time 10am Vietnam time.
7th denial received time 4pm Vietnam time.
All today same day.
Have you already resubmitted your 7th denial application? If so, did you take the time to read post #654?
It occurred to me after I wrote that post that members completing the eVisa application, where a question asks for the name of Company/Agency/School, or for Position/Course of study, the appropriate description should be specified in your answer. If (when?) you receive another denial, please let the forum know whether you'd already resubmitted your application and whether you'd made any amendments.

"Require to fill in detail all the information in the application form ( including Trip’s expenses and Insurance)" - @heidarianj
Hello heidarianj, and welcome to the expat.com Vietnam forum.
Sorry to hear of the difficulty your experiencing.
The information you've supplied is correct. The issue is not the information, but is rather your Iranian citizenship. This is VN immigration scrutinizing your application.
Tell us, please, how many denials you have received to date. Also, when is your expected arrival date?
Please take a moment to read the following post, linked below...
"It is now apparent to us that citizens of some regions/countries, including but not limited to Africa (most notably Nigeria), Pakistan, Bangladesh, as well as others, are experiencing difficulty in receiving their eVisa approvals...." (Link to post #485)
Unfortunately, visa agents in Vietnam are now reporting that they are unable to assist applicants from these regions. See posts #500 and 501, here. I suggest, at this point, that you follow the advice found in the last paragraph of post #501, being...
"My suggestion to members receiving multiple denials, after confirming that no other errors exist, is to continue resubmitting the application with no amendment(s).
This suggestion applies only after ensuring no other errors exist."
Recently, a member from an African nation had amended their application 12 times before finally receiving approval. When you do resubmit, please let us know the result. If the resubmission is again denied, check back in here with us quoting the reason given by immigration for the denial. We'll work with you on this, but it may take some time.
Please take the time to read this short thread regarding the new eVisa application site. Note especially the line regarding "Agency/Organization/Individual that the applicant plans to contact when enter into Viet Nam".
Once again, welcome aboard. Nice to have you with us.
G'day Sir,
How are you doing!
Sir, I'm facing an issue with the Evisa website, they've returned my application approx. 3 times for amendments, unfortunately they don't specify which part exactly I need to amend, accordingly, I try randomly to amend something each time, I'm really frustrated and feel like lost, them application is too easy and no tricks and still I'm not able to figure it out. I need your help please.
1st return was for "please provide fully information in your application: the company name/address/phone number in Vietnam you are expected to book a tour."
For that I took an advice from your previous replies and Changed the Hotel name and I entered the address accurately from Agoda.com in English clear letters. as follows.
JW Marriott Hotel, No 8 Do Duc Duc Road, Me Tri Ward, South Tu Liem District, Tu Liem District - Ha Noi City - Nam Tu Liem District - Me Tri Ward, also added the hotel's contact No#.
2nd return was for "please review all your entered information to ensure accuracy"
For that I decided to enter the Permanent residential address & Contact address typically the same, Occupation Info & Position/Course of study typically the same.
3rd return is the same as the 2nd and still not yet returned the application to them for review and am afraid they reject it, while I've already booked my Air tickets.
NB: this is not the first time for me traveling to Vietnam and there is a question "Have you ever used any other passports to enter into Viet Nam?"
and I added the details of my old passport which I've used previously to enter Vietnam 2019, I entered the passport number as well as the full name, which is the same name, only passport no. changed.
I'm really disparate for help, my wife keep asking me to refer the 5 visas to a company to take care of, while I'm still believing that there is no need for a third party to double charge me the visa cost.
Last but not least, I still have another 4 visas to take care of ^_^ I only tried my visa only and still the rest of the family.
Appreciate your support.
@Islam Adly
Hello Islam Adly. Welcome to the expat.com Vietnam forum.
Tell us, please, when your expected arrival date is.
In the meantime, please read the posts starting at post #521, here, to the end of this thread. It won't take you long, and many of the posts can be skimmed through as not applying to your situation. The reason for your application receiving enhanced scrutiny will soon become clear to you.
Once you've reviewed the relevant posts, feel free to post here again with any further questions you might (i.e. will) have.
edit: note in post #561 the change in format for entering the Temporary Residential Address.
Dear Aidan Sir, appreciate your truthful helpful advice, I have carefully read all the relevant posts as per your advice and figured out that the address was mistakenly entered in full instead of only street and then choose from the drop box the rest of the address, I amended the address as per your previous advises, also one more thing I did which is amending the Hotel Telephone number which was having the country code, I only entered the city code of Hanoi 024 instead of the +84. I hope they approve it, since I still have 4 runs to go ^_^. remaining family visas ^_^. Sir, will keep you posted with any further updates.
oops expected arrival date is 02nd of Jul 2025.

Good stuff. Glad you found it helpful.
Don't forget that you must also include the name of the hotel where you will be staying on the line with the hotel street address.
No problem on the telephone #. In fact, the way you entered it is the correct way, as the application asks for telephone # within Vietnam 😊 (note to readers: drop the "+84" country code from tel# and replace it with "0")
And yes, please do keep us updated on how your application goes. We'd very much appreciate it.
Good you've started the application process early and have plenty of time to negotiate any hurdles. Far too many of our members have left their eVisa application until the last minute, sometimes with disappointing results.
Hope to hear the good news of your approval soon. Fingers crossed for you.
@Aidan in HCMC
Thank you so much for your support
The weird part is that I have been before in Vietnam 4 times and for those trips I got my visa quickly. But now for this time, this is 5th denial that I received.
I intend to travel to Vietnam on March 7th.
thanks again
Dear Aidan in HCMC, Please be advised that I've got a different reply from the immigration department regarding my submitted application and amendment request is different as follows "please provide fully information in your application: the company name/address/phone number in Vietnam you are expected to book a tour.", Actually I can't find a place to add these info as well as I'm not having a travel agency to book through, this is not my first time in Vietnam and I know very well what to do and how to book so I think I don't really need a travel agency.
Please help me, since this is the first application only and furtherly I will have to submit for the whole family members.
Thanks heaps, appreciate your efforts.

You're quite welcome, of course.

Understood. The "enhanced scrutiny" being applied to the applications received from citizens of some countries is a recent phenomena, implemented ~9 or 10 months back by VN's immigration ministry. It is understandably frustrating for the applicants. I suggest expat.com members who receive multiple denials follow my suggestion in post #665 above, being...
"My suggestion to members receiving multiple denials, after confirming that no other errors exist, is to continue resubmitting the application with no amendment(s).
This suggestion applies only after ensuring no other errors exist."
I intend to travel to Vietnam on March 7th. thanks again - @heidarianj
That's very close. Are you able to delay your arrival date, should the need arise? If so, we'll continue to work with you on this. In the interim, continue resubmitting your application with no changes other than the arrival date (if you're able to postpone your arrival).

Hi again.
Unfortunately, Egypt is one of the countries whose citizen's applications
are subject to "enhanced scrutiny". Recall that in post #667 I had said...
"The reason for your application receiving enhanced scrutiny will soon become clear to you." (emphasis added)
My reply to member heidarianj in post #672 above will also apply to your application. See post #665 for my suggestion.
Since you have plenty of time before your intended arrival date, I suggest you resubmit your application with no changes/amendments. It is very important that you first recheck that the application contains no errors, especially in the fields related to the "Hosting Organisation" (see my post below).
To all applicants...
REPOST: Regarding the "Hosting Organisation" fields on eVisa application. Important.
Leave all fields under the "Name of hosting organisation", "Agency/Organization/Individual that the applicant plans to contact when enter into Viet Nam" completely blank,as this section does not apply to tourism applications, and is for people who will be sponsored to enter Vietnam (by an employer, charity org., diplomatic mission, etc). Under this field, no name, no address, no tel#, and no purpose.
Dear Aidan, very understandable and noticeable as well, I believe the reason is what you stated above, since I've resubmitted the application a fourth time last Friday the 21st of Feb 2025 and still no answer, I've sent two different emails and no reply 😀, by all means, I have no other option other than waiting, for the meantime, I think I'm not wiling to go through this process another 4 different times for the remaining family members, Is it possible to suggest a trustworthy agency to take care of our Visas in a reasonable price, since most of the web agencies are not at all reasonable.
Appreciate your support.

Unfortunately, it's your statement that's not at all reasonable.
It's actually somewhat disrespectful considering the amount of extra, individual work necessary to get you a special approval for a 30 day or less "Visa on Arrival", pre-approved before you depart for Vietnam.
I have great empathy for your situation but you and everyone else in this situation will either need to accept that a special service is required for a special fee, or give up the idea of receiving the professional help you require.
You've likely already seen the online listing for the agency Aidan will recommend, because they are the largest agency in Vietnam and always show up first or second in search results.
Good luck with your situation.
@OceanBeach92107
Disrespectful !!!!! Thanks heaps for your time replying to my queries, appreciate your efforts.
It's my own perspective considering a charge of USD 75/- extra on top of the original cost which is USD 25/- to reach to a total of USD 100/- for each Visa considering 5 family members to end up paying USD 500/- instead of USD 125/-, my own point of view is considering this as not reasonable, no intention to disrespect anyone or any amount of effort paid by anyone, only expressed my own thought about that specific situation out loud. I thought that I'm able to talk in a friendly manner with forum members away from formalities and judgmental decisions towards my perspective. I appreciate your efforts and dedication.

Dear Aidan, since I'm dedicated to update the status of my application, today I've got a denial reply through email, I took your advise and resend the application for review without a single change. Will wait and see the outcome and will definitely keep you posted.

Okay, very good.
Would you tell us, please, what the reasons for your denials have been, and in the order in which you received them? Looking at the reasons given by immigration for denying your application will give us a better idea as to whether your application is moving forward. We have had expat.com members report as many as 15 denials(!) before finally receiving their approved eVisa.
Also, what length of stay were you intending for you and your family in VN? We always recommend adding a couple of days before and after the expected arrival and departure date. By this I mean that if a visitor's arrival date is, as an example, July 10th and their departure from VN is August 15th, we suggest that their application indicate ~July 5th arrival and ~August 20th departure. This "cushioning" of the dates will allow for any unforeseen itinerary changes. There is no restriction to arriving after the eVisa's "valid from" date, or for leaving prior to its "valid to" date. Dealing with an unintentional eVisa overstay can be quite stressful and expensive (especially when dealing with an entire family).
Don't be too discouraged about not receiving a reply to your emails. Of the hundreds of reports we've received from members, not once has a member reported receiving a reply from immigration to email(s). This is not to say that email is not being read, just that to date we've not been advised by any member of their receiving a reply.
@Aidan in HCMC
Aidan Sir, will copy paste the immigration replies since day one for the benefit of other members, as follows you will find the sequence of denial emails received for your perusal and review.

18/02/2025 please review all your entered information to ensure accuracy.
21/02/2025 please review all your entered information to ensure accuracy.
26/02/2025 please review all your entered information to ensure accuracy.
Length of stay (Actual from the 03rd of Jul till the 20th of Jul) mentioned length of stay in the application from the 02nd of July till the 24th of July.
Relating them reply to my emails, I'm not really expecting their reply at all, I was just trying to intimate to them that there is a hanging application which need someone to look after, that was the intention from the beginning.
One more thing to have the full image clear, a friend of mine is living in Hanoi, Egyptian as well and he is in liaise with me regarding this agony, he crosschecked today with one agency of his, whom helped him doing the Visa two or three times before, we are currently waiting for them reply on our queries, whether they are able to process it from their side or else do a fresh one, fingers crossed hoping to sort it out A-Sap, otherwise, I will be forced to look for alternatives like Phuket and so, which I really don't want to.
Appreciate your assistance and swift replies.
