Denied Reason: please provide a detailed address in Vietnam
@Aidan in HCMC Aidan Sir, will copy paste the immigration replies since day one for the benefit of other members, as follows you will find the sequence of denial emails received for your perusal and review.10/02/205 application submission date.13/02/2025 please provide fully information in your application: the company name/address/phone number in Vietnam you are expected to book a tour.18/02/2025 please review all your entered information to ensure accuracy.21/02/2025 please review all your entered information to ensure accuracy.26/02/2025 please review all your entered information to ensure accuracy.
Looking at the denial reasons, it suggests to me that there may be an error in your application. I say this because of the repeated denial reason, "please review all your entered information to ensure accuracy." In all other instances reported, where the applicant was a citizen of a country receiving enhanced scrutiny, the denials followed a pattern where the reasons for denial were not repeated. Carefully review your entire application if/when it is again denied. Pay particular attention to the "length of stay".
Length of stay (Actual from the 03rd of Jul till the 20th of Jul) mentioned length of stay in the application from the 02nd of July till the 24th of July.
Good you've taken that into account. Adding a couple of days is cheap (read, free!) insurance in the event that things go awry, time wise. Immigration will calculate Jul2nd - Jul24th as being 23 days. Make sure this is what is showing as the length of stay.
Relating them reply to my emails, I'm not really expecting their reply at all, I was just trying to intimate to them that there is a hanging application which need someone to look after, that was the intention from the beginning. One more thing to have the full image clear, a friend of mine is living in Hanoi, Egyptian as well and he is in liaise with me regarding this agony, he crosschecked today with one agency of his, whom helped him doing the Visa two or three times before, we are currently waiting for them reply on our queries, whether they are able to process it from their side or else do a fresh one, fingers crossed hoping to sort it out A-Sap, otherwise, I will be forced to look for alternatives like Phuket and so, which I really don't want to.
The price quoted by Vietnam visa agents includes the $25 application fee, so a quote of $75 is a $50 agent fee + $25 application fee. Many agents will refund the $50 agent's fee if the application receives a flat-out denial. The $25 application fee (paid to VN immigration) is non-refundable.
Appreciate your assistance and swift replies. - @Islam Adly
My pleasure.

Will take good care of the denied application next expected denial ^_^ and regarding the length of stay, yes it is 23 days and will take your advise to add 2 more days before and after, also would like to clarify that neither myself nor my wife could get a single mistake in the details entered into the application, I could share everything with you as a DM if possible, since this is driving me crazy, Maybe someone out of the box could see something I couldn't. Let me know or else give me suggestions to start with, my details in the application is my details and I have no mistake on it, travel details is not that complicated to make a mistake on it, only concern is the Hotel but I followed your guidelines relating that specific point as well as the provided telephone number I deleted the country code and added only Hanoi's code, Insurance marked NO, expenses and so I added USD 5000/-, Entry Hanoi Airport Exit Ho Chi Minh (Since this is the real intention) shall I mention something else, for example if I enter from Hanoi I must Exit Hanoi, I'm not sure but really exhausted ^_^. Could find a single clue regarding my mistakes in the application to rectify it. Reply is quite long, sincere apologies.
Hello:
I am filing an application to get the visa to enter Vietnam. Can you tell me exactly how I should input the temporary address for Vietnam?
Hotel Name: Huy Hoang Airport
Address: Noi Bai, Hanoi, Vietnam ---when I google this address, I can't get the hotel to come up.
Phone: +84 353 466 789
Province/ City: Ha Noi City
District: Soc Son District
Ward/ Commune: Phu Minh Commune
When I google the hotel name this is what I get :Huy Hoang Airport Hotel, Noi Bai, Lane 1, Dien Xa, Đ. Võ Văn Kiệt, Thanh Xuân, Sóc Sơn, Hà Nội, Vietnam
My second question is regarding the contact information (section 4) on the visa application:
Do you put the same address in the Permanent residential address and the contact address? Since both category have a red asterisk next to it, I assumed they both must be filled in on the application.
Regards, Shirley

Hello sgin (Shirley). Welcome to the expat.com Vietnam forum. Nice to have you with us.
"Section 6. Information about the trip... Residential address in Viet Nam" should be entered as so (you can copy/paste)...
Residential address in Viet Nam* - Huy Hoang Airport Hotel, Lane 1, Dien Xa, Đ. Võ Văn Kiệt (include nothing else in this line)
Province/city* - HA NOI City
District* - SOC SON District
Ward/commune* - THANH XUAN Ward
Phone number (in Viet Nam)- 0353 466 789
Do not include "Noi Bai" in the address. It is not part of the hotel's officially registered address and has been added by the hotel to essentially fluff up their location to hopefully appeal to potential guests (a common practice among hotels in Vietnam).
Also, drop the "+84" from the hotel's telephone number, replacing it with "0" for dialing within Vietnam.
With regard to section "4. CONTACT INFORMATION", yes, enter the same address in the "Permanent residential address" and the "Contact address" if they are indeed the same.
Though you didn't ask, I'll add that a common mistake made by applicants is in "Section 6.", where it asks "Agency/Organization/Individual that the applicant plans to contact when enter into Viet Nam?". This field must remain as its default, "No". It does not apply to a tourist eVisa application.
Hope that helps. Feel free to ask any other questions you might have, and to join any of our ongoing threads on the forum's main page, here.
Once again, welcome aboard.
Hi, Seeking guidance regarding my family's online visa applications, which we submitted on 07/02/2025. We have received five amendment notices with the comment, "Please provide truthful and complete information on the declaration form".
We have diligently reviewed our applications and supporting documentation, ensuring all information is accurate and complete. We have also attached copies of our confirmed hotel and flight reservations for the first leg of our itinerary in Hanoi, as well as copies of our passports and medical insurance.
We are confused about the specific areas of our applications that require amendment.
My nationality is Sudanese, and our trip is planned 27-March to 8-April.

Hello MohamedElyas. Welcome to the expat.com Vietnam forum.
The reason for immigration's multiple denials is due to your holding Sudanese citizenship. There are many countries/regions whose citizens are having their eVisa applications subjected to enhanced scrutiny, Sudan being one of those countries.
Take a look at my reply to member heidarianj in post #665, here. The links found in that post will apply to you and your family's applications. This is a policy adopted by Vietnam immigration about 10 months ago. It is extremely frustrating for the applicants affected. It would do you well to read the posts in this thread starting at post #482onward. It shouldn't take you too long, as many of the posts can be skipped over as not applying to you and yours.
If you are satisfied there are no errors in your application, my suggestion is, time permitting, that you continue submitting your application with no amendments/changes. Read post #2 in a related thread titled "New and Improved E-Visa Site (?)" for clarification on some fields in the application which some applicants were having difficulty with.
I wish I could give you more encouraging news than this. Feel free to ask any further questions you might have.

Hi Aidan, thanks for your detailed reply. I read the thread and links and now I understand that unfortunately there is unfair scrutiny against specific nationalities. I wish if they forward about the regulations and either do not allow us to apply or even provide a rejection with clear reasons.
It is truly a shame as me and my family are very interested in visiting Vietnam, meeting the people, learn about the culture and enjoy the nature.
I am trying to teach my kids that all people are equal, but now I have to explain to them that you may be rejected based on factors outside of your control.
Thanks again for your great help.
@Aidan in HCMCHi Aidan, thanks for your detailed reply.
You're very welcome.

I believe the reason for immigration not outright denying an application is due to the ever-changing geopolitical climate. That "enhanced scrutiny" country list appears to not be static, changing at the discretion of VN immigration. Another member of the forum was recently advised by a trusted local visa agent that two countries (Mediterranean) which had been on immigration's "enhanced scrutiny" list have now been removed from that list.
It is truly a shame as me and my family are very interested in visiting Vietnam, meeting the people, learn about the culture and enjoy the nature.
There's still the possibility of receiving the approval of your and your family's applications. Mentioned in previous posts were examples of members who had received multiple denials (a Nigerian member with 12 denials/resubmissions, and a Pakistani member with 15 denials resubmissions) before finally receiving their approved eVisa.
Since you've already paid for the applications, and as there does not appear to be a limit to the number of times an application can be amended, I suggest you continue resubmitting. That said, it would of course be prudent to have in place a strong "Plan B" in the event you've not received approval before Mar 27th.
I am trying to teach my kids that all people are equal, but now I have to explain to them that you may be rejected based on factors outside of your control.
Truer words would be difficult to find. Good job, sir.
Thanks again for your great help. - @MohamedElyas
My pleasure. If you do decide to continue with the application efforts, we'd very much appreciate hearing back from you about it.
Fingers crossed, and hope to hear back from you with good news.

Hi there (again😉).
Either English or Vietnamese is acceptable. Your temporary residential address should be enter as so...
Residential address in Viet Nam* - Mangata Beachfront Hotel, 108 Võ Nguyên Giáp (include nothing else in this line)
Province/city* - DA NANG City
District* - SON TRA District
Ward/commune* - PHUOC MY Ward
Phone number (in Viet Nam) - 0236 3874 999
Do not include the word "Vietnam", nor the "550000" postal code.
That should do it for your hotel address.
Feel free to ask any further questions you might have.
Good luck, and please keep the forum updated on your application process. We'd very much appreciate it.

Hi Aidan,
Thank you for helping on how to input the address in the Vietnam evisa application.
I have another issue regarding the address to this hotel.
When I went on Grab to check to see how much the ride to this hotel from the airport, I got a different address and ward/commune.
Grab says the address is as follows:
Huy Hoang Hotel, Dien Xa Hamlet, X. Quang Tien, H. Soc Son, Ha Noi, 10000, Vietnam
If I follow your formula, I would input as:
Address: Huy Hoang Hotel, Dien Xa Hamlet (the airport wording is gone from the hotel name which you mentioned about earlier. Also, the address doesn't have any numbers--is that usual in Vietnam?)
City: Ha Noi City
Ward/ commune: X. Quang Tien (what does the X. stand for-- the drop down in the application only has Quang Tien?)
District: H. Soc Son ( what does the H. stand for ---The drop down in the application only has Soc Son?)
Which is more accurate to follow for the address-- Google maps or Grab???
Thanks for any help/ advice you can give, Shirley

That looks good, for Grab service (certainly not for immigration, though)'

Address: Huy Hoang Hotel, Dien Xa Hamlet (the airport wording is gone from the hotel name which you mentioned about earlier. Also, the address doesn't have any numbers--is that usual in Vietnam?)
The hotel's physical address (street address) is showing as "Lane 1". That is not unusual, especially so if the hotel occupies the entirety of "Lane 1".
City: Ha Noi City
Ward/ commune: X. Quang Tien (what does the X. stand for-- the drop down in the application only has Quang Tien?)
The "X" is the abbreviation of "Xã", the VN word that signifies a "ward/commune" in smaller towns/villages/hamlets. In larger towns/cities, it would be "Phường".
District: H. Soc Son ( what does the H. stand for ---The drop down in the application only has Soc Son?)
The "H" is the abbreviation of "Huyện", the VN word for "district".
Which is more accurate to follow for the address-- Google maps or Grab???
For Grab fares? Use Grab.

I just noticed this.
Did you indicate on your application the ward to be Quang Tien, or as I posted, THANH XUAN Ward?
Hi Aidan,
I will be filing the evisa this weekend. I will follow your suggestions from your first reply with the commune being Thanh Xuan Ward (even though it bothers me that Grab has a different ward).
Regards, Shirley

omg, please do not overthink this.
Gmaps contains actual addresses.
Grab contains delivery addresses.
when you still say it bothers you, I can just imagine you asking this same question in three or four other forums, trying to get the answer that you want
Hi,
Please be kind. This is my first time to apply for an evisa and no, I did not ask on other forums.
I am merely trying to avoid getting a rejection for the evisa for Vietnam as I have read many posts on rejections for this applications.

Hi Shirley.
Take a look at this Google Maps search results page.
Scroll down on the left side of the screen and you'll see the hotel's listed address, being...
Noi Bai, Lane 1, Dien Xa, Đ. Võ Văn Kiệt, Thanh Xuân, Sóc Sơn, Hà Nội.
As mentioned, that "Noi Bai" part of the address is an add-on by the hotel, and is neither part of its official registered name, nor of its address. Noi Bai is the name of the int'l airport of Hanoi.
Zooming in a little on the hotel's location, you'll notice at about the two o'clock from the hotel, the Quang Tien ward name, its boundaries well and away from where the hotel is.
At about the eleven o'clock from the hotel, the Thanh Xuan ward name is visible. This is the ward in which the hotel is located.
Don't get too stressed. We'll help you with this.
When is your expected arrival date?
Hi Aidan,
Thank you for the map and the detailed explanation! I see it and now it all makes more sense to me. I will be coming to Vietnam in the middle of April, but wanted to get my evisa sorted way ahead of the scheduled flight.
I will let you know the results once I get the evisa.
Once again, thank you for your help, Shirley

Hi Aidan,
I need some help here. I submitted two applications for myself for the Vietnam evisa and both times I input my credit card information, nothing seems to happen except I get an email saying declaration is submitted, but status is unpaid.
I checked with my credit card company and they say I have the funds to pay, but they do not see any transaction from Vietnam immigration.
What do you suggest I do now?
I used up my two email accounts to file for this application. So frustrating!!!!
Regards, Shirley

I'm not sure I understand when you say "two applications". What was the reason for your applying twice? Perhaps a change in the information you'd supplied (e.g. date of arrival, length of stay, entry/exit point, passport used, etc)?
I checked with my credit card company and they say I have the funds to pay, but they do not see any transaction from Vietnam immigration.
That's good. Thank you for letting us know that.

Safe to assume you submitted both applications through the official gov't of VN web portal, here?
If so, what status do you see showing for the applications when you check here? Let us know what is showing for both applications.
Again, you've got plenty of time to straighten this out, so don't get stressed.
