Hello,
I know this question was asked way back in 2015 but I'm hoping expertise has somewhat improved since then.
I have a ground floor apartment in a large multi storey block built in 2016. There are rising damp issues in the lower exterior walls. Due to (A) a badly built terrace, which slopes towards the buildings walls, causing sitting water against the exterior walls. Which will require removing the tiled terrace and rebuilding with a slope away from the property. With possibly a wall / floor tile quadrant. Which would allow any excess rainwater time to drain without seeping into any aperture between floor and wall.
There is also (B) the possible deterioration of a DP course along the walls which run alongside the edge of the lawned garden. This possible requires digging out before applying a Chemical injected barrier or DP sheet barrier before refilling with suitable drainage material like pebbles.
Any suggestions regarding a suitable contractor would be much appreciated.
Many Thanks
Robert.
