Brazil Visitor E-Visa Is Online

Post new topic

All,

I have been monitoring the e-visa for Citizen of Australia, Canada, and US deployment progress and this popped up on Dec 1, 2023.

You can apply online for the e-visa at https://brazil.vfsevisa.com.

This is entirely online and should be painless.

I will figure this out next month ahead of my carnival visit.

If anyone experiences issues, please feel free to post.

Enjoy.

12/05/23  Anyone considering a e-visa should review the FAQ from the site.

Note that the Foreign Ministry is suggesting applying two months prior to your trip, and that if for any reason your e-visa application is rejected, you can still apply for a Consular Visa.

Happy travels!

Thank you @abthree for the additional caution here.  I did not read the fine print and I will apply asap for my Feb visit.

Also noticed that @rraypo has beaten me to that announcement on Dec 2, 2023.  All interested, please look at the forum posts of Dec 2 and you will get additional information about that e-visa.

No worries, this is one of those cases where having duplicate threads is probably a net positive.  Once we get past Christmas, I predict that a LOT of people are going to be half-panicked and looking for information on this subject ASAP, and the more chances they have of getting a hit, the faster they'll know and the fewer threads of their own they'll start repeating the same question.

thank you!
