Hi, I am looking for advice about house insulation solutions for 40 year old very thick walls property near Portimao. What are the modern day solutions available for example insulating the walls from inside for Portuguese built poperties.

Also a pellet source wood burner as a solution moving forward. My neighbour has a huge amount of wood delivered which takes up half her courtyard?

Solar heat/hot water may be an option. I’m looking more for experiences / knowledge / advice and it will be summer of 2024 before renovations start. I’m basically turning my house around re configuring rooms. We lose the sun from November to February except for our roof terrace as it drops down too low and falls behind neighbours roofs. (Village location sort of townhouse)
