Renting apartment in Albania

Post new topic

If I use something like realestate .al will I get scammed? It looks legitimate but who knows. One of the problems here is most people don't speak English - although some do, but you can't rely on it.

I've had mostly good experiences in Albania so far (minus one at a western union currency exchange). I would like to rent here as a tourist for 1 or 2 months.

I have seen the housing section of expat.com, I'll have a look at it later tonight.

By the way, I really don't think Albanian prices are cheap, everything is the same as Greece and Italy (in my humble opinion).

Thanks for reading, best regards.

I would doubt that a landlord is going to rent to a tourist for 1-2 months on that site.  You might need to look at Airbnb or some vacation rentals if you're not going to reside there long-term.
