I chose to go in person today instead of the new online process.  For anyone else who will be walking in be advised that you will still have to register online and get a registration # to show them.

This was the first thing they asked for, without it they will not proceed to process.

  • Also they kept announcing that anyone who recently renewed there passport will have go to the main to have the Visa re-stamped or transferred to new passport. Without the Re-stamping/Transfer of Visa they will not accept passport for processing annual report

Some of us are more lucky than others.

I sent my stepson to handle the renewal for me. Besides my passport, 13A, I gave him a letter authorizing him to represent me. He said the letter was not necessary.

I did not register online.

So anybody who is not computer savvy enough to go online is out of luck. I think there are still a few out there in that position. Now, for restamped you (they) said people must go to the main (BI center in Manila?) to get restamped. Well, there are many expats who would need to get on a plane and reserve a hotel room to do that. But I suspect there really is another option, right? Go to a visa agency like JRC or others and let them handle the restamp. You will balance the tradeoffs in money spent to visa agent, to plane ticket, hotel room, meals, taxi and just being a pain in the a$$ to go there. We needed to restamp my wife's new passport with SRRV; it took like 8 weeks for the visa agency to do it and we paid around 15k as I recall.

Hello Veni, You are correct. I have to travel from CDO to Manila to have my entry stamp transferred to my new passport. Local BI will not issue me a 2 month visa extension with out it. I did not know about the process for the annual report. BI seems to be staying here more difficult as time passes.

Correct, its the passport that needs to be submitted for restamping regardless of how it arrived there...

Also, and I could be wrong, but Im thinking the Consulate in Cebu may also restamp, not sure...

No, the restamp is for a previously obtained visa on a new US passport. The US consulate in Cebu cannot reStamp a Philippine visa on your new passport lol. Maybe BI in Cebu could do the restamp but I would doubt it.

I went to the Lapu Lapu immigration office in late January and got a 2 month tourist Visa extension. One of the charges was 300 pesos for  an "Annual Report" fee. I never did anything online. Am I good to go? Don't remember all what I filled out at the office. Also will be getting a new ACR card.
