For my single permit renewal on https://single-permit.socialsecurity.be/#/home I can see status as Positive decision Work. What does this mean and what should be the next step.
@LegendaryV it means you have the work permit, they will send it to the immigration office.
The next step for you is to wait to have Annex 46 from the immigration office via the same system.

Hey everyone!
Been on a hard waiting position since the last 4 weeks almost now.
Doing a renewal for single permit with new employer.
Application date- 13th September
No-reply- 13th September
Status - Still stuck on "Newly submitted"
Region - Flanders
In a bad situation as my contract started 1st October but I can't still work because of no approval yet.
Anybody in the same timeline that got any updates recently?
@Renu_Ananya
Hi Ananya! Yes, it should be with apostille and translation, this is what the Embassy told me, however it also depends on the country as I know. I think it is better to ask directly from the Embassy of the country you are applying from and also they shared with me this link: [link under review]
Good luck!

@Srizzy so fast! My renewal was sent on 02.09, admissible on 05.09, then additional information (one pay slip was missing) was requested and was provided on 06.09, then silence until 04.10, then additional documents was requested on 04.10 (some certification that the employer has no debts towards NSSO, it was provided on 11.10 and silence. I am really freaking out.
@elenalagafonova - i am happy that they asked you for documents, at least you know there is some progress. Mine has been stuck on positive decision work since 5 September 2024. Do not know if the file was transferred to migration department or not or if someone is looking into it.
@Srizzy thanks I see your point, but it is normal for residence permits to take longer time, but I never heard that BXL would take so much time to issue work permit. really spooky as my card expires on December 1...
@elenalagafonova should be fine. keep us posted.
It has been 2 weeks since my new company (change of employer) applied for single permit and status is still "Newly submitted". Do you guys think I should poke my company about it? Region is Flanders.

@Renu_Ananya Apostille and certificate of marriage are indeed mandatory if you want to invite your partner to come to Belgium. You will need to bring those documents to the Belgian Embassy (after you get the single permit ofc).
But for a single permit application, you don't need to provide the apostille.
@Srizzy
Update
Annex 46 received.
Can I already get an appointment and go to the commune?
@Srizzy thanks for the words of support!
They finally approved today. So for me the timeline was
Brussels, renewal single permit
submitted - Sep 2
admissible - Sep 5
additional document requested - Sep 5
the requested document submitted - Sep 6
another additional document requested - Oct 4
the requested document submitted - Oct 11
work permit approved - Oct 16
residence permit - TBC
good luck all!
Renewal Single Permit - Flanders
Application date- 19th of Sept 2024
Admissible 16/10/2024
WP 16/10/2024
SP - Waiting
Hi everybody! After months of waiting, and my company's HR emailing to process my application for the "residence" part of the Single Permit, we got a response that I need to submit a new Certificate of Good Conduct. Apparently, what I have submitted (which is issued in the Netherlands - VOG) is not the "correct" model for visa and emigration.
This is all the while that I asked them about this 6 months ago before I even started my application, and they told me a certificate from my "gementee" would be just enough. Also, my documents were considered "Admissible" so I guess if there was a problem with my documents, I should've been informed then.
Now they have given me 15 days to give a new one. This is impossible because it takes 2-4 weeks to issue a new one, and it will be exactly the same document. There is no template of the "correct" model on the website of Immigration Office either.
I have a residence permit in the Netherlands that expires at the end of November, and I have no idea what will happen now that they have asked for this. This is not "additional documents requested" but a repeat of the same document they have already accepted. If anyone has an idea to help, please let me know.
Does anyone know if you have renewed your single permit for another 3 years, can one still apply for unlimited work permit under new rules? which states if your employer has been in BCR and you have worked for 30 months without interruption in BCR and residing in Belgium you can apply for this after providing proof for the same.

Hi fellow expats and residents,
I intent to move Belgium with my family and secured an offer in a local Belgian company.
a) Is single permit for only employee (myself) or can also include my family (spouse and kid) as well?
b) can someone list me the required documentation for single permit visa?
c) As I reside in Singapore (last 2 yrs) and India (first 2 yrs) in the last 4 yr period, so for PCC , should I get from both the countries ? Is PCC required for my dependents as well? I intend to initiate single permit and visa from India .
thanks for your responses

Hi, so the issue with your VOG was solved? I also submitted a standard VOG from the gemeente, did they accept that document in the end?
Congratulations on getting the permit!
@rosieallison95
Hi. I had to get another VOG where I checked the box for "visum and emigratie" screening in the "specific screening" section of the VOG application. Luckily it was issued really fast and my SP was issued immediately when I sent the new VOG.
Tip for anyone getting the VOG: don't forget to apply for "visum en emigratie" screening.

Phew, I'm 90% sure I ticked that box in mine. Glad it worked out quickly for you and thanks for the tip!
@Salala
my answer based on my experience, may be different from others:
a. Nope, the single permit is only for you. After you get a single permit, you have to go to the local Belgian embassy to ask for a visa. Then you can ask for a visa for your wife and kid(s) with the "reunification familial" method.
b. Scan passport, medical certificate, police certificate (translated), birth certificate (translated).
c. Is PCC a document from the police? you just need this kind of document only for you. You can ask to Indian police I think since you are now living currently in India.
Also, prepare the apostille document of your marriage.
Better make sure by contacting your employer.
Het betreft de toelating tot arbeid van bepaalde duur (Single Permit - Bepaalde duur), met
nummer °°°°°° en volgende geldigheidsperiode van 21/10/2024 tot en met 20/10/2025.
Dit met de volgende gegevens:
I came to Belgium with a tourist visa, I found an employer and applied for a single permit, I think my work permit has been approved. Right now, when the employer enters the system, it says // In behandeling in dvz // Do I need to return to my country and get a D visa or if the SP is approved, can I start working without returning to my country?
Region = Flemish Region
Selam Selim,
You do not need to return if your visa still valid.
As soon as you get your annex 49 from the municipality and your approved SP next day you can start.
