NLV through Chicago Counsulate

My husband and I will be moving to Spain in 2025 and will pursue our visa through the Chicago consulate. I would like to hear from people who have done the NLV through Chicago and how the requirements were interpreted by this consulate in particular.

I agree, a bit of direct personal insight is always useful, but I suspect the pool of NLVs in Chicago is relatively small.

I would suggest that there's not a huge amount of room for interpretation: they publish the requirements, and they outsource processing. This sounds very standardized.

Thank you for your response! Why do you think that NLVs are small in Chicago compared to other cities. Just curious and hoping this will make it easier to get an appointment. I will say that most people seem to be on the West Coast, including us until three months ago.
