Hi all,

What do you think about the means of transportation in Namibia ?

Is the network of means of transportation well developed? What modes of transport are available?

Do you use them?

How much is a fare?

Are they relatively safe?

What is the mean of transportation you use the most in Namibia?

Thanks in advance for participating!

Hi Armand,

Public Transport in Namibia is virtually non-existent!  There are taxis in the cities (Windhoek and Swakopmund) and long distance buses like InterCape (similar to a Greyhound), but for the rest there is nothing.  Most people have their own transport which, if you are venturing anywhere out of the major towns, should be a 4x4 vehicle as the roads are mostly gravel.

Hope this helps?

Hi Priscilla!

Thanks a lot for your help ;)
Have you been living there since long ?

I disagree with the above user on the last point. If you wanna get out of town there ARE mini vans that do the job but those are not formal or from a particular agency. That's why probably she is oblivious of that.
