Hi all

As above, how long is it currently taking from embassy appointment to approval papers (before they are issued)

Need to know how long I should be taking off work.

Adoul said 7 says. Should I extend to be safe?

That will largely depend on the police interview and how long they take and the judge  7 days is too short and offers no room to fix any surprise issues or requirements that can arise. Some peopñe have done it in 7 days, most have not been that lucky, even when fully prepared  too many things are beyond your control  id take off longer than a week for sure

take 2 weeks im going through the same and i was there fir 10 days and it was nit enough

I have spoken to one lawyer who can apparently get everything done in 5 days as long as all the documents are there.

@Yasmin21

are you getting married in Marrakesh or any other city? Did you find an english speaking Adoul by any chance and how did they give you 7 days time? If you explain a bit more, please.

muzzichuzzi

@mishiii

which city and did you have to extend the stay or what? Even if you have all the documents they still can prolong it or is it just a standard way of them dealing with mixed-marriages?

mishiii

@muzzichuzzi they ask  for extortionate amounts of money

mishiii

@muzzichuzzi i want to get married in marrakech but my fiance is from near ouzoud so we need to submit the documents there and do a police interview there then get approval from the judge to get married anywhere

Yasmin21

@muzzichuzzi we are getting married in Marrakech. Appointment in May. My partner saw the Adoul this week and he said 7 days. I will also meet him next week when I'm there.
