Belgium Nationality 2024

@tunde4elohim

I did it last year. Besides the docs you refer to, only the birth certificate is needed. It needs to be apostilled, or legalized depending on the country you are from, and it needs to be translated. The translation also need to be apostilled. This in, at least in my country I needed 3 weeks to get it fully done with all legalisation and translations.

Then that is it!

Good luck

@shambhu45 which commune are you living in?

@lalfiner Do keep us updated on how your application went. I for one would like to know.

Here's a case where the judge clearly says that what the police think of your language ability is of no consequence. Your A2 certificate is all that matters.

@Rd Devils hooray

Don't the translations have to be done by a sworn translator in Belgium? Then we'd have to get them apostilled by a Belgian notary?

So, they'll be apostilled twice - first by the authority in the issuing country and second by a Belgian notary?
