What/who are best law firms/lawyers to get in touch once the 5 year mark is complete to apply for citizenship?

masstonsils0e

@Srizzy

You don't need a law firm. You can do it yourself. First you have to apply for permanent residency (B card or L card). Once you have that you can go to your commune and ask for a list of what you need to apply for nationality. It is not difficult if you meet the qualifications and no need to spend money on a lawyer.

Police visited you already?

@nadeshn

No...and I don't expect them to because it seems uncommon in Brussels and if they were going to it would have been earlier.

Hi guys,

Update today: in 10 days it s gonna be 4months and 4 days.

Today I can't login in mondossier anymore, my current card seems to be cancelled

masstonsils0e

My update...I went into MonDossier this morning and there was nothing. I signed back in 10 minutes ago and saw my Acte de Nationalite

I applied on 8 July 2024 in Ixelles. There was no police visit.

Hello, we applied from the same commune... My card is not able to be login into any online service including mondossier. I applied 26/07

I am still able to log into Mondossier, and that is where I saw the certificate. Have you tried IRIS box? You can go into it and, under the Ixelles commune, see if you can download the nationality certificate.

How are the language requirements when applying for the citizenship, given that the 5 years preceding the application the applicant was working full time?

masstonsils0e

@Srizzy

It depends on the commune. I spoke in French while submitting my application, but I didn't provide any certificates because don't have any.

Has anyone recently applied in Gent or Flanders? How long did it take to get approval for your application?

As I understand, they automatically deactivated our card when the application is approved?
