hello, I would like to open a scooter rental agency in Pattaya...Can you tell me if it is viable as a business? And if so, which scooter fleet should I start with? Thank you in advance for your help.

I remember an auful visit to puket (No, I do mean puke - I hated the place)

It was in the may after the tsunami so a lot quieter than you would expect, but the place was infested with four things

Scooter hire shops
Jetski hire shops
Tuk tuk drivers that were more annoying than mosquitoes wanting your blood for tea
prostitutes hanging out of bars trying to sell you AIDS

I have never been to Pattaya, but a quick search on Google maps says there are plenty of established shops.

However, before you even look at that, is a French person allowed to open a small business that directly competes with locals?
