Living in the UK, moving to Netherlands, working for a German company

hello I am a bit overwhelmed and don't know where to start. I am German, but I am living and working in the UK. We are moving to the Netherlands and the company I work for would like to keep me, but have asked me to be self employed as they don't have a Dutch branch. They do have a GmbH branch in Germany. I wonder if I could get employed in Germany, living and working from home in the Netherlands. Would that be possible and if yes, what to I have to consider.

Thank you

If you are a German citizen you have the right to live and work anywhere in the EU. You might need to work as a contractor. You might want to check with a tax expert on this because the Dutch are somewhat itchy about people claiming to be independent contractors but in reality working directly for a company in another country. There's plenty of good info on the official Dutch gov't websites:

Good luck out there!
