"I want to come to the Philippines and get married there. What are the required documents?"
Are you looking to marry a local or bringing your future wife from overseas to marry her there.
Need a lot more information before members can assist.
Smart money is on the potential wife being a Filipina. Cannot see a destination wedding in the Philippines in which neither spouse is a citizen of the Philippines.
Kalo asked. . . . "I want to come to the Philippines and get married there. What are the required documents?"

A certified letter from your psychiatrist.
My psychologist told me go to PI and marry a 18yo Polynesian Beauty and retire and have a blast.
Good luck finding a Polynesian lady here amongst 115 million Filipinos that are Asian.
Cheers, Steve.

Welcome majorstudz
I am confused whether you're a student or a stooge.
But having a psychologist may be a clue. I think the latter.
To reply to the question, you will need a birth certificate, certified cooies of divorce paerwork and a back ground check from your country as a minimum.
expect the paperwork processing to take about 2 weeks before you can legally marry, then another 2 weeks before you are issued the recorded marriage certificate.

Having used quotation marks, it begs the question...
On whose behalf are you asking?
You need to obtain a Certificate of Legal Capacity to Marry, you do not mention your nationality or what country your from and this makes a big difference as to how you can achieve this. In my case I am from the UK and for UK citizen the procedure is as follows:- Make an appointment at the British Embassy in Manila and then go there and swear an oath or affidavit and that's it. then you will need proof any former marriage divorce decrees, you will also need your birth certificate.
That is just what you need to apply for the marriage licence, after that you and your intended will probably have to attend a pre-marriage seminar and in some far flung provinces you might have to go through a tree planting ceremony in the barangay where your lady lives and they might even dream up some other local custom(s) you have to go through all of which require you pay a fee.
Think twice before you do that.
Be aware that the Philippines are a poor country and almost everyone wants a better life. As a white foreigner you are considered to be a big catch. There are tons of girls who want to marry you. It does not matter how old you are, how do you look and how rich you are. You are considered to be rich as you are from a foreign country. Your future wife and her family might see you as their saviour and a way out of poorness.
The family is very important for the people of the Philippines. So if you marry her, you marry also the family.
And there are golddiggers. All they want is your money. Make sure your future wife is not that kind. In the Philippines you share your property with your wife. Half of your money is her money.
So before you marry her, come to the Philppines and life with her together for some months. Check her family. If she is a single mother you might also need to adopt her kid(s). If she does not work, give her a monthly pocket money. She can use that for herself or to support her parents. A good value for that is between 15k and 20k PHP per month.
And there is good and bad like everywhere in the world. I was lucky with my wife from the Philippines but I know other cases too.
If your dream is to take your wife out of the Philippines to your home country, check the requirements with your embassy/consulate what is needed to be a permanent resident in your home country. For example, I am Austrian and the requirement for a permanent resident is to speak German. She would need to proof that in a test. My friend from the US is waiting to get his wife to the US for 2 years now.
But it is quite easy to stay in the Philippines for up to 3 years as a tourist. Or to get the marriage visa and stay in the Philippines unlimited.
One indication that she is a Golddigger is that she asks you for money when you chat with her over the internet and you have not met her before.
@Kal0
I got married without a background check. The documents I needed were:
- birth certificate
- document from my embassy that I am not married in my home country (Austria) (anymore).
- divorce paper with signature from the judge
Your wife will need:
- birth certificate
- CENOMAR (from PSA)
With that paper you can go to the civil registrar to get a marriage license.
You will have to attend a course (4 to 6 hours) about what is important in a marriage.
After 2 weeks you will get your license to get married.
Then you go to the mayor of her town to arrange a marriage.
This can take 2 to 6 weeks.
After the wedding (it takes 10 minutes) the signed marriage licence will be sent to the PSA to get validated.
It will take 1 to 6 months to get the document from the PSA.
Now you might need the apostille from the DFA to register the marriage in the USA.
You can register your marriage with the USA consulate now.
Your wife can get a passport on her new name now.
After this is done you can go with her to a foreign country for honeymooon. Forget the USA. They will not give her a visa. This takes loooooong.
But you can go with her to Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, Hongkong, Indonesia (all these countries are visa free for citizens of the Philippines)
The whole process can take 4 to 6 months.
Also important is to think where your future will be. (in the Philippines, in the US or both worlds)
If you want to buy a condo, you can do so, however, you cannot buy a lot here in Philppines as this is against the local law. You can buy the lot on the name of your wife and build a house, however, this money is lost forever.

Well my dear fellow, since you didn't give any details about yourself or future wife.
(1) How did you first meet your future wife?
(2) Have you met your future wife in person?
(3) Have you ever been to the Philippines?
(4) if so, did you lived with her more than a year. (Test Marriage)
From your past posts, summarized, You would be interested in starting a small business, maybe buying and selling pearls.

I was Married in the Philippines over 35 years ago and have never regretted it.
At the Time of our Marriage I was a UK citizen working in Germany.
My future wife did all the paperwork in Manila.
All I had to do was provide a CNI (Certificate Of No Impediment) This I obtained from the British Consulate in Dusseldorf. They had a Lady whose only Job was to help UK Citizens Marry abroad, and was very helpfull.
Because we were marrying in a Catholic Church I also had to provide a Baptismal Certificate. Which i found out I didn't have as I was never Baptised as a Child. (After World War 2 my Father served in Palestine, in what is now Israel. What he experienced there. Turned him in to an Athiest). It took a return trip to the UK, and an Aunt threatening to withdraw her donation for the New Church Roof, for me to Baptised and obtain this Certificate.
My psychologist told me go to PI and marry a 18yo Polynesian Beauty and retire and have a blast.

I think your psychologist should seek help from a fellow psychologist and you should consult with Mystic Meg to find a Polynesian woman to marry in the Philippines.

I take it kuchi kuchi means jiggy jiggy
Yes Cherry but I seriously wonder how Allah came into this, fools that eagerly depart with money and an early death are not giving their hard earnt funds to any gods and those that take advantage will give 2 bob and a bottle of beers to any church,,,,, Fools rush in.
Marriage is a bit of paper and easy to get out of in civilized countries,,,,,,, here?
Best to live in sin or as normal people say sanity and not bowing to ridiculous doctrines that have their hands out at every turn. We won't go there.
Cheers, Steve.
Getting married in the Philippines requires some paperwork. You'll both need a valid passport and an unmarried certificate from your hometown. The paperwork process is handled through the local civil registrar's office, where you'll get married. Before the big day, it's a good idea to go with your partner to double-check all requirements for foreign nationals.
