Be qualified for a government approved job that cannot be filled by a Vietnamese citizen.

Tell us your specialty and qualifications and we'll let you know what might be possible.

@OceanBeach92107,

I can try to be as succinct as you, a worthy goal.

In my field, education, the prime requirement for a VN gov't approved job is "Must be native English speaker." If the job description say that  you must speak, read, and write native-language-level English (and you can), that is going to be getting up above the crowd of wanna-bes, the first hurdle cleared.

My sense is that the VN gov't "likes" native English speakers from Canada, the US, UK, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand; is less excited about say Philippino native speakers, for example, even though they may speak really top-shelf English, N. American accent and all.

And the jobs that *require* a native English speaker are mostly in education -- and that is what I was doing in Vietnam when I lived there, even though I was not an English teacher. (Many people incorrectly assumed I was.)

In business, speaking good or even great Englsih is useful. Many Vietnamese people, especially younger ones, have studied Englsih and can speak, read,. and write it. So, if one of them can do the job, it won't go to a foreigner.

Good luck!

You aren't trying very hard here in the forum.

That leads to the reasonable conclusion that you don't have any the skills necessary to obtain a legal job as a foreigner expert in Vietnam.

That would definitely make for a difficult if not impossible search.
